Hi Reyansh, As a Bpharm graduate you can apply for any specialization in MBA. The first year of your MBA is common with all subjects, you get to decide your specialization in your second year. Once you finish you first year .you'll be clear as in which specialization to opt for your second year. So do not worry..as a Bpharm graduate you might study something new in Finance or Human resources..and it won't create a chaos in your interviews..Be Confidential Be You!

Hi Surya, You always have a base of Bpharm is the highlighted part. It doesn't matter if you opt for Core mba or Pharma mba. If you pursue your mba in Core mba, post your mba..you may get jobs in sales and marketing , consulting, market research etc. Both Pharma and non Pharma companies approach top B schools to hire talents.

SirI am a b pharma student ....problem is that gpat /niper jee can get me into pharma mba in colleges like DIPSAR and NIPER and and the syllabus for gpat and niper jee is same what i studied in 4 years in B pharma..... But for core mba and other mba I'll have to give cat etc... The syllabus for these exams is completely different from what i studied in b pharma.... So I'll have to start from scratch 😢😢

Hi, You need to ask yourself 3 questions. 1. Why do you want to do MBA? 2. Why pharma MBA and not general MBA? 3. Where do I want to land up in the next 5 years with my MBA degree. As I always say.. pharma mba and general mba curriculum is almost one and the same.. there is a slight difference in some subjects in your first year of degree.. Pharma MBA is more wanted by pharma companies because .. they want candidates specialised in pharma marketing.. as pharma industry is totally different than any other industry in the market. General MBA will give you more opportunities.. as you will learn more about other industries and their way of working. (If you are a B pharm graduate) then you already have an upper hand as your base is pharma.. so you may get into pharma company easily.. but it will also open up newer opportunities for you in different fields. Think about it. Before getting into the course .. check the name of degree that you want to pursue from the college website and admin office. Hi, It depends on your interest. Do you want to work in the pharma domain only? Or you would also like to explore possibilities outside pharma. The syllabus pattern and curriculum for both Pharma as well as pgdm mba is the same. Pharma mba is a good option if you want to set your career in the pharma domain. Target colleges like NMIMS, SIES. For Core Mba target colleges like IIM , JBIMS , SIMSREEE , KJSOMAIYA , SYMBOISIS PUNE...etc.

Hi Tofik, There is no such term called the best specialization in Mba. It completely depends on your area of interest. If you see yourself in the banking and finance industry you must select Finance as your stream. If Marketing of brands excites you..then probably marketing is the suitable stream for you. So is with HR and IT. In the first year of your MBA you will definitely figure out where does your interest lie. All the best!

Hi Arnab, As a Bpharm graduate you are already specialized into the healthcare sector. If you want to grow in the healthcare industry in terms of Marketing..then you must select pharma Mba or Core Mba only. The curriculum and syllabus for PHARMA , CORE or HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT is one and the same. But if you look at the larger picture.. Pharma mba and core mba Degree will grant more value to your career and open up many opportunities ahead of you. To my best knowledge.. Hi Chaitrali, There are many Symbiosis institutes spread in India such as PUNE , BANGALORE, NAGPUR..etc. The Symbiosis Pune is one of the elite premium college for MBA which is considered amoung the top notches of B-Schools. As it is a Deemed University..it does not accept CAT score, you may have to appear for their own exam called SNAP. SNAP Exam paper is comparatively easier than CAT yet competitive. The overall ROI is good, as per last year the average salary package was around 19 LPA and some good companies approach Symbiosis Pune for pre and final placements. If you are planning to pursue CORE MBA and not PHARMA MBA ,then Symbiosis Pune would be a better option.
