For every examination rules at start Hand sanitize Mnemonic: RICE Right side approach Introduction & greeting Consent informed & ask about pain Exposure & position (In GPE just above ankle and till elbows) Rub hands to warm them 😂(if it’s cold) Steps: 1. General appearance see from foot end(young boy, healthy looking,aberage height/weight propped up,pillow, lines/caths/IV cannulas signa of visible stress obvious signs respiratory distress edematous body moon face pale etc) 12 imp things Rule of 4,4,4 4 signs (jaundice,cyanosis,pallor,,clubbing) 2 in the neck (JVP, thyroid) 2 at peripheries (edema & lymphadenopathy) 4 vitals (RR, Temp, BP, Pulse) 2. When looking for radial pulse plzzz compare with other hand's pulse to exclude radioradial delay... And femoral one to exclude radiofemoral delay... Thanks

While doing systemic examination, examination of pulse , full pulse examination protocol must be followed while in GPE usually this much is enough however any one can add lot of other things ! Ur point is important and valid, any one want to do it in more detail, should add these things.
