General Purpose Rifle- Everyone Needs One

This was my first build from the ground up and one that I am very happy with. I wanted to share what parts made the final cut, and which parts I am going to change and why. A GPR is a rifle everyone should have, especially in these trying times with many flagrant issues across the world. Today we break down my general purpose rifle and why I am using this blueprint to build out another 11.5 and 14.5".

Appreciate your comment more than you know. She’s my first build and definitely my top five rifle I’ve ever shot. Don’t know if it’s because I’m partial to it but she sings. From 400 yards to 10 yards, she’s nearly perfect.

shhhhhh, what Ruger lol. Nah, my first rifle during pre COVID panic buying was that ar556 from Ruger. Only reason was the CHF barrel and cheap price tag. Now I know lmao.

Good information except 1 thing, the AR-15 has never been in a single military conflict or theater of operations. That would be the M-16, M-16A2, M4 models, which is what the AR-15 platform was derived from. All the above being able to select fire rate, where the AR-15 is purely civilian and semi-Auto only. I don’t want to come across as a dick, I’m sorry if I do, but statements like that, saying that the AR-15 is a weapon of war and used by the military, are the kind of statements that anti-2A members of congress love to use when they are lobbying for gun control and want to try to scare people for votes, let’s not give them any extra ammo to try to use against use.

The AR-15 was originally developed for civilian use in the 1950s. It was manufactured by Armalite. It was later sold to Colt. Several years later the US military selected Colt to produce a version of the AR-15 which they dubbed the M16. So that's the scoop. Civilian first. Military after. There are a lot of full auto AR15s that were manufactured before the Hughes amendment in 1986 and are transferable to civilian hands. Full auto AR15s certainly are available to regular people. Of course they're 25 to 50 thousand dollars or more. But that's just a technicality
