The General Surgery Residency training Program at NYC Health + Hospital/Kings County includes a Level 1 trauma center with 35 bed SICU and State of art Operating room for trauma cases. A wide range of surgeries are performed including major Hepato-biliary oncologic cases and Colo-rectal cases, Along with Robotic- bariatric and general surgery cases. Our Ambulatory surgery facility is one of the best in the state of New York equipped with an intake of 25 patients at once.
Surgery training comprises both inpatient and outpatient locations, including multiple office procedures done 2 days a week. Our practice and operative suite is fully equipped, using the latest advancements in technology to manage the full-spectrum surgical pathology. We also have state of the art Trauma bay with facilities to perform ED thoracotomy and all emergency bedside procedure within the 7 Trauma bay suites
