At 2:59, Emma is asked by her grandmother, Anna, how she hides the fact she was suspended from school for months. She is the granddaughter of 2 spies who hide a lot of stuff.

And people are Still Making those choices today. On and off the show.) As her grandmother and current authority figure, ANNA is obligated to steer EMMA in the right direction, regardless of her past or present ability to do so for herself. That is the gig. ANNA is capable of dealing with her own life mistakes, while helping EMMA to not fall into the same traps. (After all, she could have NINA (who is incapable of steering herself, or her own daughter in the right direction; to the destruction of both, and her grandchildren) in her life.) EMMA could do much worse in the way of receiving loving parental guidance.

I'm sad about not getting our original Emma back. It was sweet to have her grow up on GH just like Robin. Even when the legacy characters are not around for long periods of time, it's always fun when they jump back in for visits, and especially great when they start awhile. It would have been awesome to have the Cam, Emma, and Spencer triangle for this era. 😢 With that being said, as hard as is to see a recast, I'll do my best to give new Emma a chance. She did a great job in this scene. Not loving the party brat thing already, but hopefully they will write her well.

You dropped Molly and TJ You dropped Olivia not with Ned at Christmas You dropped Tracy and Cody going after Drew You dropped Joss going into pre-med. You dropped Portia changing Heather’s test results. You dropped Heather. You dropped Sam and her kids - being together- Dante deserves them. Drew and Jason cannot parent their own kids. Scout should’ve been with her brother at Christmas. Lulu should’ve been co with Rocco instead of going after Charlotte or Rocco should’ve went with her. That’s a lot of dropped plots. Gio and Emma aren’t strong enough to advance to couple status. Cameron should return otherwise it makes zero sense. As for the rest, I had a laundry list of questions as to why many of these plots won’t work but changed my mind. Character driven is always best when writing characters- Doug Marland and Bill Bell knew that. Pleased to see Ann Schoettle on the writing team. She was great on Days and Santa Barbara. What is the story direction? I don’t see it. But I will say this- if Michael does not get his kids- there is no pay off to this storyline. Willow needs to be taken down and rebuilt. Otherwise she won’t stand as a lasting character.
