I remember when Michael was born and Tony, who had believed he was his father, opposed the surgery and Jason, who let Carly's lie stand about being his father, signed off on it and it all worked out. I guess I can see Nelle's point, a lot of parents opt for alternative options to avoid surgery based on the same valid points mainly being under anesthesia but this is Nelle who had no problem letting Michael believe his son was dead and watched him grieve a child that wasn't his. Why would anyone believe that she is really thinking of Wiley when she most likely trying to undermine Michael? Which is what I believe she's doing. Michael thinks it's for the best so she's just going to waste time making things as difficult as possible for Michael. It's never about her son.

I think Michael did fuel the situation of underminung her though. He had way too many people there who have voiced this notion for Willow to replace Nelle as the mother. That's what a judge told me when my son needed an elective surgery for his own heart murrmor, that I could go to prison for 50 years for saying No, these words comes to my mind everytime ( what if your child dies and you sat there and watched him suffer and died and did nothing to stop him from living his full life then what you gonna do Miss and I know you love your son and I know you don't want that for him? What are going to do with out your son in your life? At first, I kinda understood Nelle's point (I didn't agree w it, tho). I mean, she went through so much trauma with her own surgery when her kidney got removed (against her will). So, in this rare instance, I almost gave her the benefit of the doubt... But, that was short-lived bc it was only a few months later that she decided to kidnap him, KNOWING he had just had surgery for a heart condition. I know people were chiming in, saying Nelle actually wasn't being selfish and was simply concerned about the complications. If this were the case, why would she kidnap a child who had a serious medical condition??? Was she concerned about the complications, then??? It's not like when you're on the run -- for kidnapping, you can just call 911 or bring him to any hospital (unless you want to go to jail). So, we now know that this supposed concern for Wiley's safety was just a boatload of crap! If kidnapping Wiley - while completely disregarding his heart condition in her plan to do so - didn't prove that she never actually cared about him, I don't know what would. Screw Nelle!

All right, so the way this is presented I can see both sides. Ultimately I think it was best for Wiley to have the surgery, HOWEVER, I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they were hounding on Nelle to sign the papers right then and there since he wasn't in immediate danger. They said it was to prevent something down the line. What the heck is so wrong with Nelle wanting to understand the facts before signing since this was an elective surgery? Monica said herself that at this very moment it's not an emergency and Michael said it's preventative measures for down the line. Could they not have given Nelle a few days, heck a few minutes to think it over before signing without Carly locking her up on the frigging roof? Based on what happened at the end of today's episode (Friday March 27), and from the preview of Monday's, I think Carly might have ruined Michael's chances of custody. She locked Nelle on the roof and may forge her signature for the surgery. A complication may come up during it that really hurts Wiley. Nelle will find a way to prove the forgery and I don't think that Michael and Willow getting married will save their chances. This is just my own speculation, and knowing how Carly is.

ALSO if the GH spoiler are CORRECT, Nelle is seriously tripping about doctors doing surgery on her son because her bad surgery experience. Carly or Nina has to calm her down so Nelle can ease her fear and the surgery can be done. So some Nelle haters CALM down . The Nelle every move attacks are overboard and can we have balance in the storyline.

Though I do not agree with Nelle, this is representative of what happens in many hospitals every day. I feel as long as the surgery is affordable then, because of Michael's history it should most certainly be done.
