Technically it’s an over-under shotgun, as double-barrel typically refers to the barrels being side-by-side, but that’s just me being pedantic, so pay it no heed. 😂

Double barrel = 2 barrels. Over-and-Under and Side-by-Side are just two types of double barrels.

Maybe no enemy collision is just a setting set by the forger.

Can see it Def nerfed on ammo/energy probably, like having it only at base with 15 amno and 50% of energy for the hammer

the melee lunge not working is because youre in forge mode and not a custom game as intended by the map author

Yeah they gotta give the hammer on the shotgun energy. The mutilator could be the first weapon in halo history to have two types of ammo, energy for the hammer and kinetic ammo for the shotgun. (Kinetic ammo stations could also replenish hammer energy) The hammer on the mutilator could also be like a cheap alternative for the repulsor too! Say that the repulsor was either taken already or was unavailable in a map, the mutilator could be like a knockoff alternative for the repulsor. A legendary variant could be the mutilator but with slug rounds that functioned like the ksg shotgun from bo2. Maybe slug rounds or spike rounds for the mutilator. I say spike cause its called the mutilator. Perhaps the slugs could be instant kills, headshot like the sniper, or instead of slugs it has regular shells but with "dragon's breath" so the legendary variant does burn dmg to enemies.

I tried using the melee to launch myself in the air like you would with a repulsor and it just doesn’t work. Tried combining it with the repulsor as well but yeah it just doesn’t work how you’d expect unfortunately.

While this is ambitious and I like where you're thinking, you're giving halo studios way too much credit on what they're willing to do. This thing has been in the files for 2 years.

The Mutilator looks soo fun :) and seems really balanced where if you don't aim carefully then you will have to reload a lot. I hope it comes with enough ammo

Hope if they do release this, they modify the weapon movements. The way it sways and swings around when youre just walking to the next target it doesnt seem heavy it looks like a pool noodle

I hope mod tools are added to Halo 5 and Infinite. Porting Halo 5 weapons/vehicles and their skins should be a no brainer for 343 Industries but they haven’t… #BringModToolsToHalo5and6 #BringHaloModsToXbox #MakeHalo1and2BackwardCompatible

I could be wrong but i think it's using the spike revolver projectiles, as the mangler spike revolver shoots those little spikes that stick into characters and vehicles or walls, and then they kinda pop like a needle, oddly enough the needler is missing effects for hitting a vehicle as it vanishes as I mentioned before, but the spike revolver spikes do hit vehicles and have effects for it, something i bug reported for years by now but they are ignoring it.

probably going to be a power weapon in a similar category of the sword(buff pls) and hammer, maybe they will even spawn in the same rack

I've always wanted to use an Honor Guard Lance My concept for a weapon is very similar to this, I call it the Honor Pike. Basically a longer range energy sword, alternate fire would be a charged energy bolt that fires from the tip. No lunge capability, and limited charge, but very high one-hit capability. Could even make it so when you melee while sprinting you can charge forward like a Battlefield 5 bayonet charge.

This weapon seems sick, but they need to actually finish it. Been seeing leaks for this weapon forever. With the melee working the way it does, maybe when this is added they can finally add Grifball to the game. The hammer currently in the game is too different from how hammers have worked previously, but the melee on this thing seems to work more like how hammers used to function. Just make it where the gun has no ammo, and it could work as a substitute for the OG hammer in Grifball.

Looks like all it needs is balance and a texture. Wouldn't be surprised if it's coming, but, frankly it's coming far too late for me to think of praising 343 in any real way.

I'm only here to comment how ugly that armor is in the thumbnail. We went from complaining about how ugly Halo 4 and 5 armor is, and now we are back to having ugly armor with Infinite. Talk about an Infinite amount of disappointment.

I have many strong issues with Infinite and to this day remains my least favorite mainline Halo game, but I can give credit where credit is due, that's a good weapon right there. Now they just need to finish it. Probably will take at least another year.
