Your video is the best I have seen on KZbin for grooming. You explaining exactly everything we need to know especially the hard area to groom. I love how you also started the video explaining how to handle the clippers and how it can cut the dog.

Did you use a raw blade.... My dog really needs a cut but I'm terrified of taking to much off and leaving him bald. Any info or feedback would be much appreciated.
@RCGshakenbake2 жыл бұрын
@@mosesjuice2 i use the bare blade on the highest setting to shave my skye terrier on his spring and summer haircuts. He loves it. After having long hair all winter it's a relief for him once it warms up. When fall rolls around I let his hair go wild for winter. Just be careful when their skin folds, such as their ears or legs. You can cut them if you cut at an angle. Just stay even with their skin and don't pinch it.

I have two Maltese I have cut short in the summer. The male I took to pet smart and they blistered his private’s. It was so sad. The last time I took them to my vet and they blistered him also but not as bad as per smart. I want to groom them from now on but I’m a chicken. I wish there was a grooming school around here. I would definitely do that to keep my dogs from suffering.
@Amy-ms6wj5 жыл бұрын
Just ask them to use a 5guard comb on the dogs sanitary instead of the #10 blade...your dog just might be super sensitive in that area, in which case it is no ones fault. Blisters arent caused by groomers, but by sensitive skin. Also ask them to use hypo shampoo, and if he gets red in other areas have him left a little longer unless he is matted.

@alexyakobchuk47853 жыл бұрын
Wired all the way. Reason being the motor will always deliver 100% power *torque* and you won't get hair snags or have to make multiple passes. Good battery dog hair trimmers also are VERY very expensive.

@loriperry6974 жыл бұрын
My dog had knee surgery on her back r. leg and I watch these videos of grooming where they extend a dogs leg out so much....certain as a health professional they are not lifting according to anatomy and amount of flexion allowed by that body part. I give specific instructions when I would drop my dog off to "NOT wrench her legs", but after years of having grooming done, I no longer trust they are being kind to my dog. They need to watch the Japanese groomers...they are more gentle, soft-spoken, talking sweet to the dogs they are grooming and treat dogs much more respectfully....plus they clearly have an edge on American grooming and have turned dog grooming into an art rather than a job.
@BayouBarbie5044 жыл бұрын
This is my first grooming video. I noticed how she's kind of yanking the dog's leg. I'm in here, literally sweet talking a dog that can't here me. I love dogs! I can't see myself not being extra careful/sweet to these gifted from GOD creatures!
