I felt a similar thing after beating Malenia. I beat her before doing the end game boss fights in Leyndell. It was smooth sailing through Gideon, Godfrey and Radagon. The Elden Beast was a bit of a speed bump because I frequently couldn't see what attacks he was doing due to all of the stuff it would spam, but it was still so much easier by comparison.

Frankly I dont understand why they shoved it in, previous DLC´s were all scaled for late game, in DS 1 you needed the lordvessel, DS 2 DLC was accessed through Black Gulch, Iron Keep and Shrine of Winter respectively, Bloodborne allowes you entry early but still welcomes you with a beefy hunter and if you defeat him then the entire hit squad that you would be scratching down for a long time.DS3 again, nun is after the cathedral and the ringed city is straight up before the final boss. The design choices are mind boggling, Elden Ring was their first venture into sandbox, they started prepping up the dlc and realized that their scaling model sucks so they shoved in the new leveling system to mitigate the damage.

I dont mind dodging 4-5 times before attacking, it forces you to actually learn instead of jump attack spaming Sure dlc bosses are more like 6-7 rolls but it doesnt really change the fight. You spot a 6 attack combo, dodge accordingly and then punish. It harder to learn but once you figure it out, just do it again. Messmers big attack in p1 goes, wait for him to be up in the air, roll forward on the spin, wait, roll forward of the thrusts, roll forward twice to dodge the explosion and spears. Every big attack becomes an opportunity.

In that "dungeon that doesn't have an end" its actually one of the unique forge locations. If you get to that "last room" (the one he fell off and died) and turn back, close the second big gate you opened but stand on it as it rises and you'll reach the actual final room (it has really cool loot)

I tried playing the first souls and struggled with it realizing its the first fighting game I've played that forces you into 3rd person (alright you caught me, besides Smashbros melee). Later Middle English spellings of the word are often spelt "sch-", and cognates in Dutch and German show the same thing

@@tragiic333 fr , i went from suffering as an int build to breezing through everything on a melee build. i'm convinced people who think magic is easy mode have only ever seen a comet azur cheese. ironically, i find it easier to just play 10vig mage because unless you overlevel bc you're never going to get the vigor you need when you have 5 stats to balance and 3 talisman slots taken by damage boosting. better to give up on vigor and focus on mind end and dex with those points

Blackgaol Knight and Furnace Golem were so easy for me, did them both with no Scadutree Fragments, but then I got my bottom handed to me by Rellana. For the Knight the best strategy is to parry him and I used the dagger talisman with the new crit talisman aswell and he went down easy. The Golem is judt a gimmick fight once you understand how to.

I beat all the bosses in the DLC using the shit-ass Great Katana and its moveset with the Flippy Lion Claw Ash of War. most people just aren't good, they choose to heal when they are about to get punished, dodge when the should block, block when they should dodge, and generally just make a series of poor choices over and over, and refuse to find fault in their playstyle. The DLC is hard, the final boss is very slightly too good at roll catching, but its supposed to be hard, this is it, this is the final challenge of Elden Ring, if you can't adapt, if you haven't gotten good at the game by now, SUFFER.

@@keithfilibeck2390 some of it feels artificial though and there is no denying that. you watch the boss play the game and then you poke once or twice and then go back to watching them for 15 seconds. it gets tiring when it's all the bosses. just like the delayed thing and how every race in the lands between studied the delayed martial art. it would've been so much more believable if it was confined to certain groups of enemies the biggest problem is movement. it's 2024 problems with a 2009 dodge. either that or give up a very valuable skill and select quickstep or bloodhound's fang and trivialize everything. elden ring has a very hard problem with finding a middle ground. either it's trivialized or it's too brutal to keep a good attitude about it has plenty of small missteps with bosses and some big misses too. it's just the nature of making a massive game. it cannot be perfect so don't act like it is. from soft is fallible just like anyone else is they just do it a whole lot less than the competition

We all love From, but like you said, it's a symptom of open-world design. It's hard to anticipate and accommodate what lvl and tools the PC will use, and then build a fight around that.

It's never about the bosses being too hard, it's just those stupid unrollable attacks when you don't like using shields, and the HUGE health bare with Radahn, idk for me i got bored of that fight, i had high level scadutree and all but i spend minutes fingering my controller risking being stuck with that one unforgivable combo when even your console can't stand the frame rate, so really it's not the difficulty people are complaining about, it's just the annoying moves that sometimes relies on how lucky you are and forces you to use a shield, and also the controls aren't super responsive compared to how lightning speed some bosses are, you see i loved that mounted boss when you get to Trina because i easily learned from my mistakes and managed to beat him perfectly with satisfaction, Radahn you just feel lucky if you kill him and would never want to touch the game ever again after even when you already know all his moves, and most of the rewards you get by exploring are cool but you'll never need them nor want to use them because how slow using items is

What attacks are you talking about? There is not a single unrollable attack in the DLC except Radahns 1,2 Cross which can also be rolled if you position yourself to his right or left. Luck is a non factor in souls games, maybe you just ACTUALLY need to get good

No man they just changed up the formula and you can no longer use the same ways of fighting as you did in previous games. I guess they ran out of ideas and are now implementing a new style of boss. So again you have to adapt or die. Are they harder? No. Do you have to approach then in a new and creative way ? Yes. I am still playing the first prepatched release and yes it took me a while to adjust but now I can fly through the bosses. The game is 100% fair.

Consider a shield, trinkets to buff stam and guard, and an ash of war that gives you a bigger dodge window, like mist step or swift step, since rolling backwards the exact same way took you out like... seven hundred times. 😅 No disrespect intended. That's the kind of build you'll want to use if you struggle to figure out how to dodge the attacks. You don't want to rely on the shield the whole time. You just hold it up for the attacks you don't know the timing on, and you use the ash of war to dodge when you have a general idea, but don't have it nailed down. You can do this to learn all attack patterns in the game piecemealed without having to die 800 times.

Only way to make it more challenging every game, is to cheese the player. The game has to cheat to compete. The unfortunate side effect, is that every game demands increasingly more time investment by the players. I played ER for hundreds of hours but I'm over it, and quit the DLC just after the sunflower. Moving on to something worth the investment. (Not gaming)
