With the emission shader I can't get any light source to interact with it like in the video. Any idea how to do it?

​@@hubachecka If you want the light to interact, you'll need to use a different shader like the Principled BSDF. Sorry, I must have cut this part out. I then recommend adding a "color attribute" to the color channel AND emission, and playing around with Roughness and Specular because the light brings out the imperfections of the model. That's why it works best with organic scenes, like the food one. Good luck!

Hi! You "forget to mention" that you are an artist first and AI don't do everything... I'm using the same technique to animate picture from stable diffusion instead, but the rest is the same... and what I did is just crap! Nice work ! But voice over, the tone is lacking emotion or variation that would make this sound human. It sound 'beige'. Maybe Check NVIDIA, they are currently building voice that enable more range of emotions. Keep going.

If you're having trouble getting the .PLY mesh format you might have to go to the Settings tab and scroll down to "Depthmap Extension" and check the box where it says "Save additional PLY file with 3D inpainted mesh." I had trouble with this and I don't think I am the only one.

Attention! The workflow for the Depth Plug in for Stable Diffusion has changed with a new update. Instead of .ply files it now creates .obj files by default. To be able to reproduce the workflow in this video you have to go to the settings in the Stable Diffusion WebUI and then to "Depth Map Extension" and check "Save additional PLY File with inpainted mesh". Have fun generating!

I replayed the area around 6:21 about 20x, trying to see how you hooked up the emissions shader, but you didn't show the connection you made or how it plugs into Principled BDSF. Also, can't you just take the depth map image and extrude a mesh plane and end up with something much less messy and that you can build into a proper object that doesn't look like I sneezed too hard?

I mean, for your fantasy it worked. But in reality, ppl can't even stay for too long on the surface because of the radiation even wearing the space suit so any buildings will be built underground or in caves. No chance for surface buildings like you presented. Unless there is some shielding technology we don't know about yet.

I think most people will agree that animation in the traditional sense has characters moving around the set and talking to others..., this is not animation, this is more of a showcase for concept artists.
