Author Bio: Letty Cottin Pogrebin, a writer, activist, and national lecturer, is a founding editor of Ms. magazine, and the author of twelve books including her latest title, Shanda: A Memoir of Shame and Secrecy. Pogrebin’s articles have appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, The Forward and many other publications. She serves on the Brandeis University Women's and Gender Studies Program board and received an Emmy Award for her work on Free to Be You and Me.
