A very cool figure... once you fix it.

I do not disagree with any of the criticisms of this toy, but I still really like him. Blitzwing was one of my favorite G1 toys, and I really dig the way this guy looks in robot mode, with the tank treads on his legs and the ridiculous feet. Plus the jet mode looks a lot like a Macross Valkyrie, for double nostalgia points!

Saw the Titans Return version of Blitzwing. I'm on the fence about getting him, because I already own the Generations version. Three heads seem to be better than one Titan Master.

I know this video is old, but toys r us JUST got a few more in and I got him, and immediately (and without knowing there was a problem) fixed the shoulder problem. Simple and easy, the flaps directly behind the silver "pads" just twist them out and slip them under that lip instead of sitting directly on top. No need for the tabs after that and grants even more movement. thnx emgo.

The original G1 toy was one of my all time favourites, and this is a great update. The original had issues with vehicle kibble in all the modes and this one has managed to fix that. Also the original had nowhere to store the weapons, this one does. I wasn't loving the animated homage at first but it isn't a deal breaker. If I was still collecting, this toy would be mine.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but when a tank actually fires it's main turret you do get that action where the barrel moves backwards so it is pretty authentic to an actual tank in that respect

Got my blitzing today and when i transformed him to jet mode i was able to put the sword on the hole at the base of.the cannon at the bottom of the plane. It sits flush when you place it there and the gun remains on the top. I gave up trying to fix the shoulders. When you this toy that has been sitting on a retailers shelf for 7 years the joints get extremely stiff. Had to loosen the screw on the arm to see if it will help but i ultimately had.to use force. The rubber nose cone also was uncooperative due to age. Good thing the face and spring that makes.the head pop up still works. Enjoy your retro videos man

To make Blitzwing's shoulder wing point up, at this 13:07 point of transformation I rotate the arms at the shoulder joints forth and down instead of way following the instruction. It doesn't limit the elbow movements, although a pair screws becomes visible on each shoulder.

The word your looking for is recoil and yes tank turrets do that. But I agree with emgo that a beige tube squirting a payload by stroking it is pretty suggestive.

It's partially due to a lack of QC at the new assembly plant in Vietnam. The Chinese plant had great QC but there were crazy toy leaks.

The SXS-A03 upgrade kit allows for shoulder fixes without tools. But it gets a new head if you do not like the Triple head gimmick. Plus a new rifle

He doesn't. The face changing feature is based off of Animated Blitzwing. I like that they did that because it pays homages to both designs of Blitzwing.

A much easier fix for the shoulders is to take the top panels and push them down and pin them underneath the chest panels and take the shoulders and fold them inwards a bit. Not the sturdiest, but it doesn't involve a mod and it holds the shoulders down enough so they at least don't flop for the sake of flopping.

I still have this one although I'm missing some pieces and am ordering a few parts to bring him back up to speed. I really like him though...his jet alt mode and his robot look really, really good, IMHO. His jet mode reminds me of Macross and that's hella cool.

Daniel Elasivich must live on PEI in Canada where I'm from cause I can't find them at retail anywhere in the whole province. Including our new TRU which I believe recruited their entire staff from Home Depot. Anyway, nice job Hasbro. I got this guy when he came out and to me he was the best looking Blitzwing I'd ever had the privilege of seeing. Fast forward to Chistmas 2022 and opening my gift from my kids and getting Legacy Blitzwing: great looking bot, OK looking tank, & a jet that's clunky looking as all get out. Then mid January 2023 I get Mechanic Studios Thunderbolt that just all around sexy. Now I look at this guy on my shelf and can't help but think "Jees, you're ugly."

I just got this guy second hand and thankfully his shoulders are at least mostly fine, sometimes they'll pop out if I'm just messing around with him, but not bad enough to be worth taking apart for me. His heads though..... good lord I had to fix that asap. The faces really should have been one solid wheel of stiff plastic instead of 3 separate soft plastic faces.

HEADS UP IF YOU OWN THIS FIGURE: I usually have blitzwing in one of his vehicle modes (because they're pretty good vehicle modes!) and when I went to turn him into robot mode, his head broke off! whatever paint they used on the head stuck inside the nose cone and broke it in half. if you leave yours on display, I recommend popping the head off and storing it separately. it pops off easily, just push his head backwards (which also allows the nose cone to fit nicely) the head on mine broke in half. I think this is a good figure, but I think they used the wrong types of plastics in the wrong places

The vehicle modes are good, the robot modes are ok, and the combine modes look weird, but with a little adjustment here and there you can make them look really awesome (check peaugh´s videos)
