Thanks, Tim, for highlighting alternatives to PS. I think that's important. Personally, I don't want to have to subscribe to use PS (although I do subscribe to MJ -- hmmm...), so alternatives are appreciated, even if they're not quite there yet. But I must say, I'm starting to get a bit of AI burnout because none of them are really there yet. For example, each time I ask MJ for something, the results are rarely good enough or usable in my projects, even with fixing in PS Elements. Right now I think of it as a good source for clip art, and for the occasional one-off, but for anything that requires a consistent look -- or even a character with normal hands! or the right number of legs! -- I have to draw it myself.

Yeah, I’d say we’re right on the cusp. But that might be a long cusp! We ramped up really hard, but it’s almost like when you go on a workout routine. That first 10 pounds shed quick, but those last 10 seem to take forever! It will get there, but I do hear you on the burnout!

To be honest, the Premiere thing is just as simple as: when you import you raw footage in (namely, me babbling at a camera) it auto transcribes everything, and QUICK. So, the thing you guys never see is me stammering, or stopping, or losing my train of thought. I’m also trying to get better about saying “um” So, here’s the hilarious part: after every section I do that is good, I say “fart” So, with Premiere’s transcribe, all I have to do now is run a search for the word “fart” and whatever text that precedes it, I know is the “good take” All I do is highlight that text and boom: it’s edited. It’s insane. And a massive time saver. At least for my A-Roll. Oh, and I say “farts” as a keyword, mostly because I think it would be fairly rare to say it in a video. It could really be any uncommon word, but what can I say? In a lot of ways I’m still a 15 year old who laughs at farts. Haha.

@@TheoreticallyMedia Haha! It'll be impossible not to even when we're 90! Yes,i use a clicker so I can see the markers. That's great though, because you'd have to use 2 or 3 3rd party apps right now for that functionality (including getting rid of fillers). Excellent, thank you. 👍

Good stuff! Will definitely check it out. Also seems useful for on-the-go or not otherwise at a desktop, even if you do have an Adobe sub. (Mobile photoshop is not exactly feature-complete even to current photoshop, nevermind beta features.) Thanks for the heads up!

100% And, man- I haven't checked in on Mobile PS in awhile. To be honest, If I need some kind of editing, I'll just do it on my phone app. I did try PS Mobile at launch, and as I recall it was a bit of a dumpster fire. Also, I do tend to think: more tools the better! (Gonna need a bigger shed!)

Yeah, I’d say 50/50 depending on what you’re aiming for with fill. To be honest, I think the best way to go is create in Midjourney and then comp it in… But I’ll say, I haven’t been overly impressed with Firefly, it does trees and textures pretty well, but really lacks any kind of imagination. At the end of the day; this provides some alternatives to those who don’t use PS. That’s really all.

firefly is stable diffusion, the model training is massive by adobe by 100s of thousands more so the language model is better, i did some vids on a krita plugin that fantastic

Like, crowds of people, or just random people in the frame? You might be able to just do it with Photoshop or Affinity, or even Gimp. My best “celeb” con story is meeting G. del Toro. Bumped into him on the floor and was like “hey, big fan!” And he responded “We don’t have time for that! Walk with me!” I ended up hanging out with him for over an hour, talking movies and props while he bought all these crazy toys and comics from the vendors. It was the only time I hung out with a celeb where I had to say “uh, I gotta go…”

@@yeastydynasty My best thought is to use the canvas feature in Leonardo that I talk about in this video. Bring the photo in, mask/paint over your buddy, and experiment with prompts to see if you can remove him. Might be do-able.

Adobe’s generative fill is just better, what can I say. I don’t think any of these images are useable, and as you said it’s basically just outpainting with stable diffusion. Adobe just has more money and more people to research.

@@TheoreticallyMedia When I did most of my serious editing it was Final Cut, but lately just CapCut because it seems like the best free option. Was thinking about diving into DaVinci though
