generator master disconnect when charging generator battery

why is important to ALWAYS disconnect the generator battery when it's being charged from an external battery charger!
if you don't have a master disconnect it is highly recommended to install one.
it can also help ensure the generator battery will survive over winter or some other long term shutdown.

Good thing to know about the generator and SMA! I just found out yesterday that the Kubota output was set at 48A charge instead of 100A at the Master SMA. I have been wondering why the output of the Kubota was on at 1.3kw (=/-) for the test runs to charge the single 48v battery that has survived. So many different setting to go through before this trailer is functioning as close to 100% as is possible.
