Generator stops working on island in Abaco, Bahamas and we rebuild carburetor to get power

While I rather be fishing, I had to rebuild the Yamaha 2000 carburetor for my family to have power so we could make coffee and cook some breakfast. My Honda 1000 still works great but didn't have enough power to do both. Perfect weather & some tools from the boat along with some help from friends, allowed us to diagnose the issue quickly and get this done so we could get back in the water and keep fishing!

When i raced carbs with restrictions. You couldn't have a Carb with removable jets. So we indexed drill bits using them to enlarge them a tiny bit. Those generators are built to run lean. A little bit richer won't hurt a thing.

Need a backup solar generator down there. They work real good for coffee pots and stuff. Charge back up while fishing.

In Houston here, nearly every generator we've had have carburators that are regularly gumming up when run with gasoline. Try to find a dual or tri fuel and run on LPG or NG if that's readily available on the island.
