I accidently knocked me Harry Potter Bus, it’s a easy build, but it was while I was taking it down, at night, so I only got to pick the pieces up quickly that I saw, and sadly, a couple days later, my room got a massive clean out, so I think I’m missing some pieces, the remains currently sit in a golden glow up hat, and sits on my desk, waiting to be rebuild, I tried to rebuild it, got annoyed that I was missing some pieces, and I got bored

You need to sort your bricks by shape/size, not color. Its easier to find a red 2x4 in a bin of other colored 2x4s, than it is to find a red 2x4 in a bin of red 2x3s.

When little me found out about online building instructions I tried to build the Death Star out of my own pieces. I very quickly found out building it in the right colors wasn’t a viable option, and I didn’t get further along than a multicolored ground floor. However when I actually got the set several years later building the first floor actually gave me a sense of deja vu!

You should build the sets those entire lego containers originated from

It could be from lots of different sets, and also some people sell fheir collection in secrions, like they sell their collection in two hakves, three thirds, four quarters ect... so it is not guaranteed that there are all the pieces to the sets, and also sometimes some people buy Lego sets in second hand which do not have 100% of the pieces.
