If the solar still functions at all like they do in real life, then it should collect water without rain. The palm leaves underneath it collect dew in the morning, which evaporates in the sun during the day ("solar"). The evaporated dew condenses on the underside of the tarp, and the rock in the middle makes the condensation roll down and gather in the center and drip into a container. They provide a slow, but reliable way to collect water without being dependent on rain. Maybe the one in the game also collects rainwater on top as well, which would make sense, but it should slowly collect water without any rain.

There should be a concept where you can dig out old crashed boats and rebuild them with container parts and engine parts. Of course, they'd come with some of the parts you need, but you'll also need a substantial amount of fuel for them

Awesome update. Thanks Genny. I can't wait for them to bring the old endless world back. With this update, it's gonna be a hard choice to stay put or do some travelling. The bricks could make some really cool buildings though. I agree with you Genny, tell them to allow us to build on foundations or our rafts. A house boat would be crazy to explore the endless world with.

Thanks for a peek at the update. BTW, and I haven't seen this in any Stranded Deep videos I've viewed, it's easier to get coconuts by using a spear, than climbing the palms (and possibly falling or getting stuck.)

The bricks are a nice addition to the game but until they bring back procedural generation it kinda sucks, Look at the amount of clay it takes to make things and think of how quickly you will run out of clay while building a house. Here's hoping they bring that back!! Glad to see you're happier with the game Genny... I'm waiting for the stable version myself and hoping they don't break my save again lol Good luck! :)

Genny, ever since they implemented cliffs and tall rocks I've wondered if it's possible to somehow hardcore parkour to the top and build a house up there. or maybe find a cave or something. I think it might be worth a try.
