I prayed for a bible study, and didn't know what that would look like, my town is small. I also knew that I was looking for something "all encompassing". I am going through the Bible for the first time, and I am so inspired to hear the word of God. Blessed be in Jesus name

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. In your own strength you can't. Rely and lean on your heavenly Father for all things. I'll pray for you brother. Coming from a former smoker.

Praying for you now. Please pray for me too. I have been smoking since I was 8 and I’m now 52. I don’t want this dependence anymore but I am afraid to quit. I know the Lord does not want me fearful. God bless ❤

Keep on praying, cry before the throne in desperation. I know how impossible, hopeless and frustrating it feels. Keep on praying, don't give up. As long as the Holy Spirit is in you He will continue to convict you. I tried 100's of times to quit in my first 3 years of receiving Jesus. I heard testimonies of people quitting immediately or within days, weeks or months of accepting Jesus but here I was 3 years in and still smoking a packet a day. I went through bible 4 times and was on my 2nd time through the entire bible with Pastor Paul. Smoke and all I still evangalised, testified, prayed for people in public but this ongoing sin was so frustratingly stubborn. I cried over years many times before the throne in desperation, Father!!! Daddy!!! Pleeeeeeeease. I can't anymore. Give me the strength. And then one day I quit my packet a day 20 year habit by the grace of God He gave me the faith to leave it at His feet. Its been over 6 months now, nicotene free and I still go on my knees every morning first thing to ask for strength to get through the day without smoking and on my knees every night to say thank you for another day. Pastor Paul also gives great advice on ongoing sin which helped me tremendously while in the middle of ongoing sin, smoking. Don't give up. Keep in praying. Ask others to pray for you. I will pray for you too. Jesus love you ❤

A couple of years ago I attended a wedding right after the Sunday morning worship service of a couple who had been living together and wanted to get married UT because of parole could not be legally married. Our pastor did speak to their parole officers to make sure he didn't do anything illegal. He was able to marry them in God's church, just not in the eyes of the state. No marriage license. No words saying "by the authority of the state of Texas". He told me later that he started leaving the state part out years ago for all weddings because what's important is what happens in front of God, not the state. He does sign the marriage certificate, just doesn't say the words. This couple is now married in front of God, just not married according to the government.

Pastor Paul, the gifts were shared with the bride's family as per us African. When the servants left the gifts, it was paying dowry , I guess... That's Marriage mostly in African traditions 😊

I am not counting the validity, but when you say you have archeological evidence, it would be great to get specifics on it. The only thing I was able to find was the nesilim code, and it outlines nothing of tax law, I may have the wrong thing, but I want led to try and incorporate it into a Bible study I do, and having that specific information would make it easier to find and bring history and fact to the bible.

How was incest looked at during this time, considering Abraham married his half sister and they had a boy whom married his cousin? Or is it that it is a special occasion because God called for it to happen
@CalvaryChapelOntario10 ай бұрын
It was not considered incest but was entirely normal for close relatives to marry.

A camel can drink up to 30 gallons of water. Carrying a bucket of water with only four to five gallons of water is very heavy. Rebekah was not a child. She was a woman. A child would not be able to carry that much water nor water ten camels. Muslims say that Rebekah was an under aged child, just these verses in Genesis show that she could not have been a child.
