I miss this tournament. One of the greatest showing of ssb64 skills, a lot of great international players, and the return of Isai. Looking forward the next ssb64 major! Super Smash Con is looking stacked with the Peruvians coming. I salute the boys from Darkhorse's weeklies, for doing so much for the community in the past few months, even if you guys have low views. It is by your streams, weeklies and crowdfunding that the scene is getting bigger. Thank you all! Who would imagine that ssb64 would be played on the main stage! Hope this golden age endures forever.

Sorry for the super late response, but I completely agree. As an aspiring Smash 64 player myself, I am so glad that these events exist. And with events like Super Smash Con and Genesis happening more often, we will see more of SSB on the main stage!!!!!!!

The Pikachu salt and Wario bashing is unwarranted. Wario is a great player and deserved the win. That said, anyone who thinks that there's more skill than character involved in Wario's edgeguarding just doesn't know the MU. His skill gives him great consistency, but the edgeguards (and gimps) are pretty much free to begin with.

Man this game looks so frustrating. Don't get me wrong, I understand that these players have incredible skills. But I just can't imagine playing Smash and literally one grab at 0 basically leading to death guaranteed assuming the opponent doesn't fuck up. Hit stun has really come a long way. Regardless, good stuff to both of these amazing competitors.

Yeah, the effectiveness of a single hit is reminiscent of Street Fighter 2. Both are similiar in both that destructive power and the dedicated albeit small communities always backing them up.

I have only seen Wario's G3 run and his match against Jousuke in 2013. I can't find anything else. And I know, he looks boring to watch, but I am shocked at Wario's precision. It's like it shouldn't be happening before our eyes! Are there any more vids of him in older matches. I'm sick of seeing the character Wario in ssb4 or ssbb in every thumbnail!

Questions for you guys. Did they play on real N64 consol or did they use emulator ? Because I tried to play on emulator with an USB to N64 controllers, and I can't find a good plug in for the controllers. I got issues for landing my smash and for running with my char. What do you guys recommend me to use ? Which emulator and plug in should i use ? Thx for read and the answers

Boom and Isai both have what it takes, but the debate for best in the world is either between Jousuke or Wario atm. Both incredibly talented Japanese players. Don't spread misinformation, get informed on how much 64 is changing.

+BarkSanchez I can't respect or give credit to anybody who uses pikachu only. Pikachu has a tactical advantage from basically every angle, Isai hasn't been in the mix for a while, but if the two you just mentioned were around in his era they wouldn't have stood a chance. I hope Isai comes back from retirement and practices so you can see these guys dont stand a chance

Falcon, Fox, and Yoshi have advantages in the neutral. The metagame has changed. We saw Wangera beat Isai's pikachu with puff. The top players mostly agree that Falcon has an advantage over Pikachu. In Isai's era the metagame wasn't nearly as explored. Take time to learn about the game as it is now before saying these things.

+gyoduck riftor to be fair though, pikachu is much harder and more technical that falcon is. Angling those up b's as well as setting up those edgeguards is pretty difficult.
