@@radreviewz9482 even though melee looks 2D, if you look from above, you can see that the models have a certain depth to them. You can dodge grabs in the z axis. Although here it looks like he might have just still been invincible. Here's how it works. That 3rd dimension is much overlooked but during the characters' turn around animation, he moves in the z axis (depth) and can avoid hitboxes that dont take the entirely of the space.

He knew Leffen would try and combo him so he delayed his landing. It's a genius move to do that so suddenly. Mang0 is that fighter who was born a genius and relies on instinct. If he was half as analytical as Armada, he would've dominates everyone.

I'll never forget that up b. What a plot twist that was. Looking at it now, he avoided an upsmash and then leffen barely shields in time but chases falco with a wavedash oos after and things happen again in falcos favor. He could have wavedashed away but chose to chase instead. Many tight and calculated gambles in such a game, that are all extremely skill dependant. So good. I'll be watching melee for a long time, I'm sure. It's funny but I now see this set a little differently after netplay now only has frozen stadium. I think frozen needs to be the new irl tournament standard but it probably will be.
