It's crazy how things connect in life. I remember being 12 years old watching "Clones" with Akira the Don and Bashy 200+ times on NewGrounds, my favourite song/animation. 12 years later I'm going through JBP videos and start listening to these before I suddenly realize it's the same guy. When I was a kid I loved animation, now I'm trying to mature and get a handle on alcoholism, depression and disorganization, and it's the same guy inspiring me. Great mix Akira!!

I almost never comment on youtube, but man, your comment got me. Fucking nostalgia with the newgrounds, and made me think how we are all learning together and growing up over the years thanks largely to this wonderful thing that is the internet, we can connect it all and filter out what makes the most sense, collectively. I found this video through JBP reccommendations but left a huge Akira the Don fan !

Some say he is the definition of having clout, others say he can sit at the corner of a round table. Rumor has it he can pick oranges from an apple tree and make the best lemonade you’ve ever tasted and that he can unscramble an egg. Legend has it Akira narrates Morgan Freeman’s life and that he doesn’t read books, he stares them down until he gets the information he wants. Jack was nimble, jack was quick but jack couldn’t dodge Akiras JBPwave kick. Well done sir, well done.

Songs into steps on how to live a better life: Step 1: Clean up your room and stop lying (begin to establish order in your chaotic life) Step 2: Begin to incorporate beauty into your life (or imagine how to do so) Step 3: Humble yourself, don't strive in a presumptuous/cocky way Step 4: Now humbled, consider your shortcomings, such as your bad habits Step 5: Find a goal that necessitates ridding yourself of your bad habits Step 6: Begin to imagine yourself in the future if you start acting out a better you Step 7: Pick up your damn suffering - and bear it, strive to be a good person despite it Step 8: Challenge yourself, set goals to begin to push against your presumed limits Step 9: Sacrifice those parts of you that hold you back, manifest an ideal you to help Step 10: Act in your own best interest, don't let people get in the way or discourage you Step 11: Have faith in the idea that using truth to improve your life will work (it will) Step 12: Make everything you do matter, acknowledge how important you are in the world Step 13: Save the world, ours and yours, by being all you can be - let's see what you can do!

Dr. Peterson- "It's hard to make something beautiful." Akira The Don- "Hold my beer..."
@threoples5 жыл бұрын
I've been following Jordan Peterson since the summer of 2017. His words lived in the back of my mind and slowly chipped the reasoning behind my fervent escapism, and I started to enjoy it less and less. For a little bit I thought I was getting depressed. I realized that what was happening was that I was waking up to the terrible wreck that my life was becoming. I started to "set my life in minimal order," and all else followed. Now, I'm 15 months sober, learning a new highly marketable skill (web development). There's a lot more about my life I'd like to change but I love that idea of "minimal order" and it's helped me make the progress I have. I trust that it will continue to act as a wonderful guiding principle in my quest to be rid myself of bad habits and build better ones. This mix hits me hard, and fast, with all of those things that I've absorbed over the last 2.5 years that allowed me to make those changes and completely overwhelmed me the first few times I listened to it. Thanks, Akira, you did an amazing job condensing Jordan Peterson's message into a straight banging mix.

I am a brown asian boy who discovered the intricate relationship between religion, moral values and the the natural archetypes of life, how to balance secular and traditionalist thinking, how to give my life meaning through taking on responsibility, by accessing the spoken word lectures of Professor Peterson, a white man thousands of miles away in the foreign land of Canada, which has absolutely no cultural connection to me, my family or my country except through the glorious invention of the internet. I want to spread this to show that the expansion of knowledge is occuring at an incredibly fast rate, and although western civilization is going through troubles at the moment, I dont want to spread bad vibes either, if everyone listening to this lofi mixtape can practice the words professor peterson says in your daily life, you undoubtedly influence your civilization to a measurable magnitude. There is much wrong wtch my own society which I think is opposed to rationalist ideals, I'd like to change this via peaceful methods, I am young and I have hope through the knowledge I have learned through my own endeavours over the internet. I will be careful not to be influenced by radical ideologies of the left or right. I will try my best at "cleaning up my room" and maybe even one day my whole culture will clean up our whole region from unfairness. Wish me luck. Continue the spread of knowledge, continue criticizing, becaue you have the power to criticize, dont let anyone take that power away. Every day I am astonished that these types of connections are existing, I know im not the only one, I know there is a wordwide following of Professor Peterson somehow. And even though he mostly speaks of western philosophy and east asian chinese traditions, his thinking can still somehow be adapted to any culture I think, because it is that of a rationalist.

You are completely right man, yea the internet is incredibly vast, you have all the possible views and facts of the 🌍 right at your fingertips(and the consequences appear way faster, good and bad). JBP really has legs. He's been out of the spotlight for a while and still just hearing him talk puts a smile on my face. Such a lovely human being. I think it's that he has an active living conscience and isn't just spouting static thought he thinks will prove unassailable enough to maintain his status. He's building his thought complexes right there with you like some kind of improve philosophy but he's familiar enough with the workings of it that it works, it's coherent and it's not only digestible, it's a joy to consume. Basically he's the polar opposite of a sophist.

The wave is such a deep song and juxtaposition of his words he may not have even communicated that as strongly in person but you took it to a new level. I love how you take the main points of his talks and turn them into the hook, I think Jordan makes a great “feature” for the spoken because he uses so many metaphors. Really great stuff. Brah, you're just unfair. I was just in a JBPWave mood, and I turn on my computer, and bloody this pops up. There's my music library for the rest of the day. The best kind of surprise to emerge from the infinite potential of the internet to be sure, but you're dominating my playlists!

This man is sharing what he has to offer with everyone who wants to listen. To those who don't listen he expresses his concern, but never has he asked for their suffering or annihilation.
