"Genesis" is composed by the same fellow that orchestrated "The Colorful Ventures" album, Hank Levine.He also composed The Ventures "Silver City", which as a single, charted on The Top 100 Billboard survey.Hank Levine also charted a hit under his own name in 1961. It was his single of "Image".Which by the way, he did not compose. this single was released in the U.S.A. on the Vogue label, and was subsequently picked up and released by the ABC Paramount label.

It was the B side to Yellow Jacket. I can only assume it was their own original. When Yellow Jacket was released, I bought the 45 (a few years ago, as I am 68) and I absolutely loved this cut. They never performed Genesis on stage and never played or recorded anything like again. I still have the 45 and will get it out and see who the writer was.

There is something nostalgic and deep about Genesis. I played it almost every day in college because the tonality and pace of the instrumental plays on the emotions. It isn't sad, but it comes at you with power, like all good classical music should, for Genesis is a classic. No one should even try to duplicate what the Ventures accomplished in that piece.
