Hello - I also have a Model M (no CD player...), and the right side of it is not playing any sound... seemingly neither from speaker nor from tweeter, so I would say the problem is not in the speaker/driver itself... hv you heard of similar problems? Would this be a circuitry problem? Many tks!

Likely the power supply. The capacitors are probably not filtering the 5V, 12V correctly for the amplifier IC.

Y, the most "suspicious looking" capacitor is the first one following the power supply input into the pcb (not clearly bloated but seems to have leaked a little)... but wld that really be consistent with only the right channel not working? The unit plays perfectly through the left channel... (and no longer being in Europe for support, seems like I do hv to venture into a diy project here...)

I have the Model M and the cd player is not working. The readout says 'no cd' but can't insert a cd. Any ideas on whats wrong? Thank you for any help or suggestions that you may have.

It could be the motor, it could be the circuit board. I would check the output from the power supply first. I have other videos on my channel showing how to troubleshoot a switching mode power supply.

Yes but if the power supply is not delivering correct voltage for the digital circuit such problem can occur. See this video that has the same "No CD" error: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3aqkKhmpMydkKs
