We noticed this a lot more on our most recent trip this Summer. Lots of silly/rude people taking pictures with their flash on during dark rides. Super annoying and completely moronic. Some people just live in a bubble though.

I went home because my father passed away and at my lowest point a lady got in the elevator at the hotel with a spirit jersey on. We started talking about Disney and YES MOLLY! By the time we got to the lobby it was like I was best friends with that lady. It was the brightest moment in a really hard weekend.

She is not "officially" on our reservation, but is in my "Family and Friends" section of Disney Experience App. Will mom be able to gain early access to the parks with us? Thanks

You will just need to add her onto your reservation and then she will be able to. Being family or friend of someone who is staying at a deluxe resort is not enough to gain early access to the parks. Her name needs to be on a reservation so shes in the system in order for it to work. Hope that helps.

Most people not going to the party do not like to have their park days cut at 6 & miss fireworks so they don’t go to MK on party days. You can have an incredibly productive day if you go to the park early entry on a party day & cut out b/f the party.

Also love that you included the phone problem footage, nice to known that someone who has so MAMMOTH knowledge can still have issues. “Stacking” worked beautifully for us. We would rope drop and hit several rides and then hit several more once we’d use our stacked rides. I truly felt like we were easily able to snag LL after LL in the afternoon/evenings. And this was around the 4th of July. Aside from the expense, I think purchasing Genie + was worth it and made our experience better.

@@rnguyen2516 Magic Kingdom was the BEST one for us. We started at early entry over at Space and when the rest of the park opened, we’d go ride Splash, Thunder, etc. Having Genie+ allowed us to ride things multiple times throughout the days. We also used it at Epcot, but found that we didn’t necessarily need it as much in the evening. HS was tough because those rides were so in demand, but we did what Molly said and booked Slinky first. I stacked the rest of the popular rides as much as I could and we rope dropped Micky and Minnie’s RR. DAK was the less useful park for Genie+, but we had paid for the entire trip to have it and used it a little. Keep in mind we also had “fancy rides” booked those days as well AND booked Guardians. We rode that 4 times over the course of 2 days.

@@terilynn15 I agree with what you commented about HS and EPCOT. I found park hopping between those two parks was the best way to do it. LLs at HS are so challenging to get so I just stacked them for the evening, and enjoyed EPCOT in the morning, where LLs aren’t quite as necessary. We rope dropped Remy’s and hustled to Frozen before the line was too long. Then we enjoyed tasting festival food-yum! Layer that day, HS was so fun to just show up with LLs all queued up for the biggest rides (except ROTR-could never get that LL bc we weren’t resort guests). And hitting Slinky right before closing was fantastic-the wait said 1 hour, but was only 15 min at closing! But doing HS first, then hopping into EPCOT was great, too! We rope dropped ROTR, and were able to get a couple LLs in HS, but not all the rides we wanted in one day, so we saw some shows and then hopped over to EPCOT for evening festivities which didn’t need LLs. Genie+ works beautifully at MK and you really don’t need to park hop in or out of that park. You can put Genie+ to work all day long at that park!

Agreed! I have had only good experiences with Genie+ so far, even during busy weeks. Plus, if you get lucky enough to have a ride break down, we got multiple use wherever genie+ passes. And a lot of people don't know this, but those passes often include rides that do NOT normally have Genie+, at least at DLR, and so you enter the exit with a CM and walk right on.

It is small but it was confusing because it happened while we were there and we had to guess how to make it work in our favor. It was also annoying because the rides we wanted for the afternoon took a while to hit 2 pm due to the 120 minute rule. The people at the park for the day wanted slinky dog or smugglers run but we wanted rock n roller coaster or tower of terror. People weren’t booking those first.

I was pretty okay with Disney+ when it was being introduced. I have visited WDW during lower crowd times of year so I was just going to go and do my best. Unfortunately after a horrible trip to WDW in 2021, I walked away knowing that WDW has changed and cheapened to the point where it’s not worth my money and vacation time anymore. Watching videos about Disney+ just solidifies my decision. But if there is one thing I know about WDW is that it is always changing and maybe they will bring back the excellent service and experience it used to be. In the mean time, I’m super excited about this new channel (I love Molly) and I’m checking out Universal.

Molly, you guys asked in a recent video for challenge suggestions. I would like to see you guys do a ride challenge. Have say 3 must do's (do I sound like Stacy?) - Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and say Space Mountain (you could and 7 Dwarfs as a 4th if you want). Then one of you does the Genie+ thing, one of you does the "expensive" version and pays for everything they can, and one of you does the "rope drop to park close" option. All of you spend the whole day seeing how many rides you can do - and which ones. And finally, you do it from a resort - say Fort Wilderness - so you can go back to the resort in the middle of the day if you choose. Make it like how WE would do Disney.

Hey Molly 🤗 such a fab video - I’m so glad I don’t do rides as it is super 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 In saying that if you are up for it I’d love to see a video that covered off all the non-ride attractions both in WDW and Universal/IoA - i know this type of video might not be as popular but I (like many others I assume) would find that very useful 🥰 xxx

I think what confused me about the new system was the way so many people worded it made it sound like you wouldn't have the option to book a lightning lane at a park you were hopping to until it was actual 2PM, not that you just couldn't book a lightning lane at your hopping-park until the return time was 2PM or later. Actually seeing how it works is a lot less confusing now.

This is my continuing education - was up to date for my last trip and then it all changes. Thank you so much for doing these so we can all learn this. Ok, so I haven’t been confused with Genie+ before - until now. So you’re saying that now - you can’t book a Lightning Lane for an attraction in your second (or 3rd, 4th) park unless the time slot available is after 2pm. BUT - since you can’t hop until 2pm, isn’t that what everyone was already doing anyway? Were people booking slots before 2 even though they couldn’t get into that park yet? Were they doing that for some benefit I’m missing? Or am I missing something completely altogether (and maybe I really was confused and didn’t think I was 😅)?? OOH - or are they maybe planning on getting rid of the 2 PM park hopping rule in the near future and this is just a way to help control the crowds once they do?

Ooh okay, I think I got it now. Previously, since it would automatically populate with times after 2 PM those slots would go more quickly. Now it’s an even playing field. Got it. Took a second 😅

@@heathermartin8417 im still confused...because Molly was able to book her 7am and 1030 LL at hollywood studios in the am...can someone explain? im planning on going to Animal Kingdom the morning i go to Magic Kingdom that afternoon - and just want to make sure im prepared wiht the correct lightning lane planning for MK with a toddler....thx
