Those 2 actors were incredible together. They made it seem real....the chemistry and passion was unsurpassed in daytime drama. Watching KZbin repeats reminds me how good they were, they were never that good with other love interests.

Genie once made a comment about the “little nuances and depth Tony brings to the smallest scenes,” something like that. It got me watching how he smells her hair, winks, kisses her hand, everything he did sold me on their love for each other. Never did he reveal that depth of love and trust in scenes with Holly, which seems more wooden, or with Jane, who just doesn’t see into his soul with the love for him that Genie had. They were and are unmatched in the joy they sparked together. ❤️❤️❤️

I started watching GH when I was 13. I instantly fell in love with and was captivated by these two and Luke and Laura. It's 2023 now and I'm 55 years old and just saw this video of Genie's message to Tony for the first time and I'm crying - so many emotions and memories of them, so much nostalgia, so many personal memories associated with that time in my life where Luke and Laura were my escape and comfort and excitement and so many other things. This was a beautiful, touching tribute. I'm so thankful to each of these amazingly talented, wonderful actors for bringing Luke and Laura to life. Blessings always and thank you to you both.

As someone that wasnt into soap operas I will admit during the time where Luke was trying to find laura it got me hooked. I still remember the balcony scene where he looked out, went back inside, and then walked out again and saw her and he lost it. The whole time I was like "GO BACK OUTSIDE AND LOOK!!!!!!!!! SHES RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was well done.

Tony & Genie were absolute magic together. They clicked on every level. Jane Alexander & Tony Geary had a certain chemistry together but it seemed more like a mom always chasing after her mischievous boy. They didn't have that "just can't keep your eyes off them" quality that Genie & Tony did. It would be so great to have Tony come back but I think too much time has passed and Laura's life has definatly gone on without Luke. Luke & Laura had so many different layers about them. Luke & Tracy just always seemed like scammers to me.

Back than,in the 70s and 80s every soap opera was popular and I thought the writing and most of the actors and actresses were very impressive, and Tony Geary and Genie francis by far had the most chemistry between 2 actors I've ever scene.

It's STILL the highest rated 2hrs in daytime tv AND to this day the ONLY wedding that got more views then theirs in tv history was the wedding of Prince Charle's & Princess Diana!! Keep in mind the Royal Wedding was viewed all over the world, but GH was not. So I would have to look it up. But I'm thinking if you were to look at the ratings "Per Capita" I think L&L may have beat them on that!
