Dear sir... We all know that output should follow the reference input. in case of non unity feedback system output is multiplied by the some constant dc gain Kh. So here to nullify the effect of Kh in output,we change the reference input in such manner that Error= Rs-Cs will be zero... That's why the input is divided by Dc gain Kh. I think so.. Btw lecture series is awesome.. great help sir...

They have clearly shown the error signal in the diagram (which is the actuating error) so if u calculate error at the location where it is asked in diagram you will get 0.5

I also got the same answer. I think, the problem in NPTEL is with the assumption in the beginning. They took E=R-C, instead of E=R-CH. Do there feedback H is missing in the final equation too. If we consider that, we will get the answer as 0.5.

If we convert non unity feedback system to unity feedback system in that case OLTF is going to be the same but error will be different.
