sir little bit correction... in method 3 22:43 u take Ia1 pu but that have to be convert to actual then have to find scmva..

Thats what fortesque theroem is all about to convert a unsymmetrical phasor into the symmetrical one...

A 50 MVA, 11KV, 3-phase synchronous generator was subjected to 3- phase fault and line to line fault. A generator neutral is solidly grounded. Find out positive sequence and negative sequence reactance of synchronous generator if 3-phase fault is 1780A and line to line fault current is 2590A. How to solve this sir??

Ea1 is +ve sequence component Ec is per phase voltage ..

@@soniyakumari2870 hey it is not like that the seq of each phase is independent of other phase. As if we calculate the seq voltage then we need to get the value of each phases. So this qs is meaningless.

sir Ia1 (pu) nikalne k liye Ea1 (pu) ko total impedance (pu) se q divide kiya.... only Z1 (pu) se divide krte tab bhi to answer ana chahiye

Good after noon Sir my query is when we calculate SCMVA in line to ground fault why Vb and Vc are taken symmetrical ?as when fault occurs parameters become unbalance

Vb and Vc will be unsymmetrical but they will not provide current to the shorted path as it is open circuit..ok

#query sab samajme aa gaya...bt confusion in notation.... hear fault accure in B and C phase...and we assume phase A as reference and convert all parameter according phase A using by shift operator.... My question is if Fault accrue in A to C then what about reference... will take B as a reference..??? pl clear this...its soo confusing..

B aur C phase even saab phase ka Positive negetive and zero sequence components hota hai. Yaha zero sequence component 0 hai. Baaki 2 component toh hai. Fortescue theorem

As fault is occuring in two phases (i.e. L-L, in B and C phase) hence parameters of both the phases should be consider. kindly reaply. If anyone else knows, kindly do reaply ASAP. Thank you!

soniya kumari ma'am in the beginning, Sir wrote Ib=If=-Ic. I think if we consider phase C also it'll be same, just the direction of current would be opposite, that's why sir only considered only phase be.

soniya kumari and one more thing, Ib = -Ic so Eb and Ec will cancel each other, so only Ea will exist I guess. I'm not sure just telling you what I think. Happy learning

Actually in L-L fault the neutral is grounded and it contains only zero sequence component and hence we consider only zero sequence component and the remaining sequence networks becomes zero while neutral is grounded...

Mva se kaise aarha h? Z1+ zf impedence parallel mein hoga z2 ke toh 100 mva base pr nikalege mva aur fir parallel capacitor add karege toh ni aara

@@udaymehta8917 consider toh kara h... Z1, zf dono Ea ke series mein h... Aur Z2 parallel mein.... after taking out individual MVA, i added them just like in capacitors... But i didnt got the answer. Can you tell me which one is series and which one is parallel?
