Thank you for a nice, informative and entertaining video from you as always! Another generator on the way to the scrapyard rescued by you, and given a new life, now it is like new again, thanks to you! Helpful tip, if you do not mind: Use a wet sponge to clean the tip of the soldering iron between solderings, presolder the tip, and hold it on the underside of the wire, and feed the solder on the underside and later on top of the wire, and wait until the solder cover the strands and the connector, before you remove the soldering iron, to be sure the solder cover the connector and wire alltogether. Make a set of straight cut pipes of different diameter, so they fit over the inner race of the bearings, and hammer the pipes and not the bearings, so you are sure not to hit the outer race of the bearings when you hammer them in place. An incredible piece of work. I used to do autobody and paint work in the U.S. and we had a Korean worker get hired that could take a flat piece of sheet metal and turn it into a replacement for a fender with just hammers, dollies, and chisels. You couldn't believe it was hand made, just as with this electric motor, unless you watched it happen. That guy had crazy mad skills just like you do my dear.

Nice Lin. I worked in a factory that had thousands of motors. Most of that size, hundreds, were wired in delta, some in star, depending on the motor's task. But we, electrical crew, also had single phase and dc motors as well as stepper motors, along with all the controllers to repair when they controlled the motors. As much as we tried, there were often motors that burned out like that one, before we found the bearings before seizing and burning them out. I enjoyed the work, but a lot of our time was spent on completely rewiring the whole factory, out of date, and no wiring diagrams to help. I spent weeks/months just tracing wires to make proper wiring diagrams, before installing new switchboards with electronics added to give the workers one button to push to complete complex steps that used to be all manual. I'm glad you seem to like your work as much as I did. But, I never looked near as pretty as you doing it. Nice video, thank you.

Please buy something or make something to seat bearings, a tube the same diameter as the bearing inner race with a plate on top, hit the plate in the middle so force is applied equality. Great video as always. Set up an Amazon wishlist.

Just a small tip: Heat the end bearings before hammering them on. They go on much easier and won't receive damage from hammering. As an apprentice I used to rebuild countless AC motors. Wonderful work. You should be very proud.

Warm the bearing to enlarge, and cool the shaft to shrink it, same as with some types of axle bearings. Using a hydraulic press to seat them becomes so much easier with some applied temperature knowledge.

I’m pretty sure that was a sealed bearing with seals to keep the grease in, heating it would damage the seals. Lubricating the clean shaft then driving the bearing in gently on the inner race shaft only would be my suggestion.

You never heat sealed bearings!!! Best way is to use a press & plates with hollow mandrels to install them.

When installing the 27.44 fan pulley, support the bearing head with a wooden wedge and hammer it. 24:25 what is the long stick you put between the coils? the pike? Great job.

Lin, you are fantastic. May I suggest when installing new bearings onto the shaft, it is safer to use a pipe to hit only the internal ring of the bearing. Hitting the outside bearing ring will and does damage the bearing cage. Congratulations on another success.
