I am amazed how she knows the winding sequence by heart without even looking anything up other than the wire diameter and the winding turns number!! I have a 4000w generac generator which needs a new stator winding and bought an old one on line that was supposed to be good and wasn’t worth sending it back when I found one side (120v) of the 240v total was bad. I got the engine to run good and now need to tackle the stator. The only reason I got lazy is because I have 2 other working similar generators . The incentive isn’t there at the moment unfortunately to work on it. This girl could do it in her sleep I am sure! Lol

@johnhardasnails7464 Yeah, she's an expert. She got used to rewinding big motors. I guess you should send that one to her(China 😅). When I was a kid, I used to take out small transformers from old broken radios and other stuffs and remove the primary and secondary coils manually and then rewinding them back. I always asked myself why is this 220v AC primary making 12v AC output when two wires are not connected at all. 😆 But I found the answer as I was growing up. Back to the video, this girl is making everything look real easy when it is not. I think she has a table or something like how much windings in every specific motor, etc...

@@Toast4Toasty I watched her use a c clamp style micrometer to measure wire diameter. She would cut the old windings out with a chisel then separate the one bundle to count the strands. This would be fairly easy on a three phasemotor because of the symmetry. I know on a 120/240 generator that one 120v winding has to be twice as thick to handle the full wattage. The other 120v winding is of course for half the wattage when the full 240v is used across both sides. Then there is the stator stimulus windings for the rotor added in too along with the 12v battery charge winding . so a generator is a tad more complicated to rewind fully. She has rewound 3-4kw generators also so I am sure she can handle just about anything

I always wonder the same thing. Any skill showed requires some training and time. She is young, and while she by now might be able to do some of those things, I also agree that there has to be a master giving her tips on how to do stuff. One of the videos hinted at her degree, tho that was only the title of the video. She didnt showcase her training and doesnt talk much about that. I think it was her family, right? I don't charge my family for my work either as an IT Professional. Just like Lin, I have a soft spot for family as well. They usually give me stuff for my effort as well. My aunt usually gives me food. She was trained by my gramma so now that gramma is no longer with us, my aunt's cooking is the next best thing. I'd rebuild my entire family's computers for free if it meant I could eat her cooking every day.

I've watched a few of your videos but this one is the most incredible. The wire winding process was fascinating. I slowed to half speed to appreciate your methodical approach. I couldn't see what would happen to the loose ends until one by one they were trimmed, combined, soldered and fitted to the terminals. You remained calm throughout knowing exactly what you were doing. Uncle doesn't protect the motor in a housing but you delivered a perfect motor. This is not a generator. It is 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor. Before removing the ends, we usually spray spray penetration g oil the night before. It comes out easy. Other wise the end housings can crack.

Color me impressed!! I've done industrial control systems in the field for over 20 years. What she just did in a day, we sent off to have specialized companies do. It usually took them several days of labor. Not only that, it looked to be about a 15 or 20 horsepower, 3phase, 50hz, maybe 360 volt motor.............. I've never seen anyone, man or woman, pick one those up and walk with it! Slide it around on the floor, yes. Put it on your back and carry it, no. Awesome video! Hats off to your skills!

I wouldn't call that a repair on a generator. More like a complete rebuild of an electric motor. This girl knows her electrical stuff. All the rotors, stators, wiring and coils were corroded beyond use. Rethreading all the coils by hand and all is time consuming. This was definitely not a one-day job. For all the replacement parts, this would be a major undertaking. A girl with her skills could write her own ticket. Whoever her teacher was, they did a good job.

Lin - A suggestion: You need a good crimping tool for the copper lugs. A pair of pliers may not secure the lugs to the motor wires securely and may cause loose connections which will result in single phasing !

Pretty sure I have seen her solder them after crimping on other jobs (although it is hard to tell on this one).

She has soldered the lugs after crimping with pliers on other rebuilds she has shown, I would assume she did the same here.

@@wasilltarakanow8046 Скажем не 100, а 60, но в кузов электродвигатель явно забрасывали пару человек, либо использовали эл. лебёдку. Особенно это видно вначале видео, выглядит как дешёвая постанова, как подобные сюжеты в фильмах для взрослых с водопроводчиком.)

Попробуй на досуге как нибудь, потом напишешь...P.S Могу даже подсказать где найти приблизительный груз, берёшь дорожный бордюр 1000х300х150 (он наиболее распространен при строительстве дорог), его вес находится в пределах 90 -100 кг и тащишь метров 10 - 20.)))
