If a few brief minutes of Aruna aren't enough…watch a full 25-minute performance of Raag Shanmukhapriya in pristine HD on the Darbar Player, along with dozens of other captivating concerts: www.darbarplayer.com/videos/aruna-sairam We'd like to upload everything for free - but filming, editing, and hosting cost money, and we’re a small not-for-profit organisation. Signing up to the Darbar Player costs about the same as a couple of coffees a month ($5), which we hope is an excellent price for such a wealth of unique music.

Absolute brilliance! What a masterpiece! Every artist has played his/her part so beautifully in performing this Thillana. I'm already a huge fan of Sri Oothukadu Venkata Kavi's music, and now this Thillana sung by Aruna Sairam has me in a trance! I could actually imagine Sri Oothukadu Kalinga Nartana Perumal dancing to this Thillana as I was listening to it! Thank you for putting this up. Hare Krishna 🙏

The Shhhh silence at 3:24 and then that follows it.... I can't explain it. I visualised like a demon like Ravana Brahma singing and making his nartakis to dance to it. Jyothsna Srikanth and Jananthi Kumaresh added the more essence to the singers voice.

Narendra Tirunagari It's actually a song when Sri Krishna danced on the heads of kaliya snake in Yamuna river. The SHhh is that of the snake.

If anyone is wondering what is tillana, it is similar to an orchestra. Tillana is usually sung at the end of the concert. Look how the tillana ends very similar to the way you end a grand presentation.

The instrumentals are so on point, Aruna ma'am is singing with her voice, but the rest are making their instruments sing. The star of this whole piece is the violin though, the violin binds all the transitions between Veena and Mridangam so well. Kudos!
