If you live in a place that has issues with roaches, the powerwash kills them too. Just spray it and let it sit for a minute and it's dead. This is a less toxic way of killing them if you have issues with the super toxic sprayed and you want to kill them without getting near them cuz ewws.

I'd like to share my favorite, recently discovered cleaning 'hack'. A handheld Bissell steam cleaner. I have struggled for years with streaky windows and mirrors. First time steaming with the Bissell squeegee attachment-crystal clear, streak free windows! ( I wipe any residual moisture with an old dishtowel.) Cleaning the microwave interior? Less than 2 minutes. I use it on my stovetop, oven, toaster oven, countertops, light fixtures . I have even used it on a crystal chandelier. -It is truly a game changer.

Here's an alternative to the tooth pick hack. I keep a toothbrush in the kitchen to clean the debris that accumulates in tight places, including crevices and corners. I lightly spritz the corner or area where grime is. Give the mess a couple of minutes to get soft and mushy, then use the tooth brush to dig out the mess, pulling the grime away from the corner into an area where I can wipe it up with a sponge or paper towel. This is especially useful if your sink has tiny gaps between the counter and the edge of the sink. It's also great for cleaning the faucet. I find that gunk tends to build up where the faucet meets the sink/counter. A tooth brush has a handle long enough to g reach any mess behind the faucet without straining yourself. (I would need to be on the counter to reach behind with a tooth pick.) The tooth brush also works in the corners of cabinets like the one shown in the tooth pick demo. When you're done, you can thoroughly rinse out the tooth brush and let it air dry. The bristles stay intact for a long time, so you may only need to swap it out for a new brush every few months, depending on how often you need to clean the crevices and tight spaces. Mine sits next to the sink in my drying rack so I can easily access it when I need it.

A heads up with oven cleaners: They can kill birds you might have in cages as pets. Our new oven we got a few years ago warned about it and we had someone we know lose a bird via this. Read directions, etc. I know that sounds sorta nuts, but even the mildest fumes from them are bad news.

A tip for cleaning the oven: whatever you’re using to clean the oven, cover it with cling film and leave it overnight or for a few hours before scrubbing. Even if you use regular oven cleaner it needs time to penetrate the dirt and if it dries it’s not going to work nearly as well, so just cover it with cling film and it should be much more effective at removing the dirt.

@jenniferbuzel1622
@jenniferbuzel1622 3 жыл бұрын
Prayer Warrior Jennifer, for the grates you can get a large plastic bag ( I’ve used the large turkey cooking bags before) and add 1/4 cup of ammonia & wrap it up tightly. Let the grates sit in the bag with the fumes of the ammonia overnight & then you can spray them off the next day. You may need a bit of the Dawn spray if they are coated in lots of layers, but wait to see if the ammonia vapors get most of it off first.

You will be amazed no elbow grease and very little time!

For baking almost anything get yourself a big role of parchment paper. So far I found that Costco has the best deal. It comes in a two pack. You can even make cooking pouches with it and it steems fish and chicken wonderfully! If your meat or food is very juicy sometimes you do have a little bit of a liquid residue underneath the paper, however it makes cleanup so easy. By the way thank you so much for all of your videos it's a pleasure to watch them. It's also lovely to see your beautiful growing family. ❤️

I have found for gas stove top grates that using a big big zip lock plastic bag ($ tree) and a cup of ammonia ($1.50/bottle) and letting them sit for 5-6 hours or better yet overnight really works. It has a strong smell, but the baked on grease comes off easily with hot water and minimal elbow grease. I also put paper towels on top of the stove wet with ammonia and cover with plastic wrap for a couple of hours and the gunk wipes off. I really enjoy these videos/channel. Thank you for making such useful/entertaining resources.

I've used my swiffer in the walls and ceilings, also great to use the wet pads to for cleaning. Use STEEL WOOL PADS for cleaning your stove top grates. Game changer!! I get the 10 back from the dollar tree!

Hi, I found that using the self cleaning setting on your oven works pretty well. For cleaning the grades, soak them over in the ammonia from dollar tree. Use large heavy duty bag and leave it outside.

Hi sunshine. Great tips. I have been using my swifter for dusting walls for a while now. I also have a square basin which I add tsp to the water, then wash my walls with swifter. I swap out the swifter dust cloth for a microfiber cloth. Works like a charm. 🥰

Great video. For small crevices, I like using qtips. I typically dip one end in a cleaning solution I like and then when it’s done being cleaned, I flip it over and dry it with the other end. Another KZbinr I follow uses that dawn spray in her shower and tub too- it’s the best!

Can't wait to try that red sauce removing hack!!! Genius!!! 🤯 Also, I've used Rain - X on my glass shower doors for years, AND I still squeegee them daily. My hubby discovered that a bit of Dawn diahsoap on a scrubber sponge works well, while in the shower, to de-fog the doors occasionally, also. Glass shower doors are a pain!

I use Bar Keepers Friend on my oven. I don't let it sit for more than 30 seconds before I start to wipe off each section. The glass looks brand new again and the grates are so clean, in particular.

This does work as I have seen it. Glass was so gross before and looked brand new almost after and yes don't let sit too long.

The oven hack was a bit muddled but had mostly the right components if not quite the best technique. Sprinkle the baking soda directly on the oven surfaces and add enough drops of dish liquid to lightly scrub it all over with a wet (with just water) sponge or scrubber, rewetting as needed. There should only be a light coating with perhaps a little extra on the very worst spots. Leave it for half an hour to an hour, or up to a day if you're busy. Then when you go back to finish cleaning soak your sponge with the vinegar or use a spray bottle to scrub and wipe away the soapy soda, and wipe away anything left over with plain water as needed. As demonstrated there was just too much soap and soda and almost all the dissolving power of the baking soda, the vinegar, and their reaction when combined was wasted in the bowl before it could be applied. It also works pretty well (skipping the vinegar) for a quick pre-scrub on baking sheets before washing, and baking soda scrubbed onto plastic cutting boards and then fizzed away with vinegar will help remove most stains better than just washing in dishwater.

Great video and very inspiring (your effort and diligence making videos, while taking care of such a young baby and a toddler, is amazing and didn't go unnoticed)! For the glass door of the oven there's a scraper that gets all (or most) of the dirt out, quite easily. Try it and you'll be amazed!

Stove grates, I learned to put a little ammonia in a plastic bag, sit the grates in, seal it up and leave it sit outside overnight. They don't need to be covered in ammonia, I believe that the vapors do the cleaning.

I’ve found the best thing to clean my gas grates and the inside of my oven is a simple Brillo pad. The ones with the soap already on the Brillo. I still have to put in elbow grease to get things clean, but it’s the only product I’ve found that works. Hope that helps.

Hey girl I just put on that self clean mode and your oven will be like new! I always cleaned with spray cleaners and then one day tried the self clean and I was like WHY HAVE I BEEN WASTING MY LIFE?! Kallie, hi! 🙋. TicTok, right? I was late to that party cuz I'd heard that TikTok was aimed at an audience MUCH younger than my years and, um, kinda along the lines of the "5 minute" vids here on YT. One day I was following up on a craft video and wandered overs there and was actually rather impressed. I really, really liked your hacks today, pretty much all of them keepers, and would watch an organization compilation if you felt up to putting a list together one morning when you're up with baby girl.🤱 I've been watching your vids for several months now and always enjoy them... always! Your personality just shines ...🌟 beautiful inside and out...😁🤗 Thanks for everything, with love from the Southern California desert, MK ♥️🌞🌵
