Plus he's very much of an "actor personality", which funnily enough many people seem to not realise (funnily, because that's kinda what maneskin is trying to do- give attention to how much people focus on stereotypes and image). Even here, when he's singing, it's a bit of a performance, with the flamboyance, exagerrated mimics etc., which is gone the moment he's not in the spotlight. He can completely switch the vibe- from mimics, gesticulation, mannerisms, posture- to the way of talking and tone of the voice. He sometimes goes 180° in a few seconds. Honestly, it's very impressive.

Just prejudice I think, but for the first few days I thought they really would succeed in ruin his career with this bullshit. And I think he was really affected too. Luckily he kept his calm and his music and talent overshadowed those stupid rumours.

great to hear how the "mammamia" chorus was meant to be replaced, but was kept in the end. Reminds me of the "mmmm mmmm" chorus by the Crash Test Dummies: Brad Roberts had meant it as a filler, but the rest of the band convinced him to keep it. It sounded perfect as it was.
