Love the fact that by installing a free wheel hub at the pedal sprockets, you still can pedal the bike normally if in case you ran out of battery power. Brilliant!!

This design will have resistance on motor when pedaling like a normal bike. It doesn't have freewheel on the motor.. I've made one very similar out of scrap. But more advanced has a freewheel on motor aswell

And it uses the gear shifting. You can get power, and speed. This should help the motor live longer. The motor reduction should try to match rider's pedaling cadence, 80-100 rpm

Pedal motor transfer is superb. Should have tried on graded road to evaluate pedal assist. Downhill run should recharge battery from reversed motor mode.

The way you mount the motor is ok, but mechanically it is not stable. Suggest adding a support to the other frame bar to form a triangle.
