I always enjoyed playing genji, I found him, and continue to find him Fun, but it did get very annoying game after game getting ult cancelled/ countered/ generally countered for the whole game. Started to look for other mains. But ow2 has really given me hope for genji again :)

I start OW in like 2017 i think and i played reaper in the beginning and i started watching ow yt a lot and switched to be a hanzo main and then got caught up on genji after i watched arikadou now genji is my most played and main and second is hanzo xD

I honestly don't think this will be meta. At least not for long. Shield break is just such a simple task if there's only one tank forcing shields, and heroes like Sombra and doom can make healing damn near impossible. At least that's how it seems to me.

It looks like support needs to be played because their healing is crucial now that cc is mostly gone, and since there are less tanks its more important to coordinate abilities to kill players. Healers when I left overwatch were played out of necessity because of sixed team roles, but now they are played because they are extremely strong.
