5:02 this guy is too precise... at 52°C he opens the radiator, at 47°C he thinks, should I close it a little bit?

What problems did you have with your carburation? I've got a Pavesi Rotary Valve shifter that has been struggling to run for over a year, guessing that it's issues with the carby, it runs well top end has a lot of power but down low it keeps breaking up and bogging down. It was over fueling like crazy with fuel coming out everywhere but have changed jets and it has helped but it is still breaking up down low and then all of a sudden the power will come on and it's uncontrollable. Have you got any tips to help?

Hello man, i love your video's they are great quality and your driving is really good. I am also thinking to get into karting but i have some questions. Why do you keep sometimes you hand infront of the carb intake and why do you keep a peace of cloth in front of the cooler? Are u doing this to get more heat in the engine quicker?
@ronbarman48542 жыл бұрын
He probably holds his hand on the carb so it will warm Up faster considering the mixture will get more rich, its the same for the piece of cloth on the radiator is to block air from cooling the water which makes it easier to get the right temprature
@YszapHun2 жыл бұрын
@@ronbarman4854 not true. he partially closes the airbox intake with his hand to prevent part of the air entering the carburetor, this enriches the mixture but contrary to popular belief rich mixture actually cools the engine. he does this not to cool the engine though, but to test if the jetting was right or not, also, with mixture that is too lean you could seize the piston even with 50°C water temperature.

@silllie the cloth infront of the radiator is to adjust cooling.

@@YszapHun interesting to know, thx man

@@YszapHun very interesting, do many karters use this cloth technique? Seems like a homemade thing that is pretty useful.

@Leo0992 жыл бұрын
@Leo0992 жыл бұрын
