What you're seeing here is digitisation of a third generation VHS-video.
In the 1980s and 1990s I used to organise concert tours for folk and ethnic music ensembles. During my third tour with the Tuva Ensemble, in April 1992, Gennadi Tumat brought two VHS video cassettes, for me to copy. On those VHS cassettes he had collected all TV- and film footage of himself and the Tuva Ensemble up until about 1990. Those VHS tapes were at least 2nd generation copies, maybe some were even 3rd generation. There were no repertoire, locations or source informations.
