Whether Sobibor or Auschwitz, the genocide in Poland was committed to the Jews.´
Johann Niemann was an SS officer at the Sobibor camp for Jews in Poland. Niemann and his colleagues are responsible for the genocide of the Jews. In 1942, they killed Jews day after day, completing the genocide. The crime that these men committed, the genocide of the Jews, was without parallel in the history of mankind.
The genocide of the Jews was hidden behind Operation Reinhard. Operation Reinhard was the code name of the secret plan to exterminate Polish Jews in German-occupied Poland during World War II. The German government wanted to make it clear to the German civilian population that they were all jointly responsible for the genocide of the Jews, not just the government. The genocide of the two million Jews murdered within a few months.
How emerged the genocide of Jews in Poland? Watch the full documentary.

I saw "NOS er reed een trein naar Sobibor" from Jules Schelvis on Dutch television and it had an enormous impact on me. I bought his books and read them several times, he was such a beautiful person of such integrity. Despite what happened to him and Rachel, his first love, he had no hate. In fact his life works besides telling the world about Sobibor and the Holocaust, was warning what can happen as a result of hate. But I'm afraid the world hasn't learned a thing because polarisation and hate has become worse than ever.

There's a reason why most of the Holocaust survivors come from such camps like Auschwitz. Auschwitz unlike trebleka or sobibor was a work camp. If they send you to the latter two, your chances of survival were... basically non existent since they were straight up death camps.

Well, I have difficulty believing some of it. Particularly, that they cremated thousands of bodies per day in brick ovens. My sister works at a crematorium and having learned from her what it takes to burn just one body down to cremains it seems impossible to cram brick ovens full and get same results. I do believe millions died, probably more from sickness, exposure and starvation. From mass shootings and then burial. I have doubts about gas chamber and ovens. It doesn't add up.

@@kina18 I am certain that the methods of murder were varied. Your sister works at a regulated crematorium. The Nazis had no oversight, no regulations, no holds barred approval to cremate anyone they wanted. I am certain that they got creative enough to pull it off.

Part of what infuriates me about the Nazis is that they were so proud of what they did to human beings that they photographed it, brought their children to these camps, so sure of their superiority. It is important to remember that Russian citizens were also murdered and persecuted by their own government. Some figures put Stalins purges responsible for as many as 30 million Russians deaths. Mau Zeedung also "caused" the deaths of many more in his second five year plan. That number reaches an unbelievable 55 to 60 million Chinese citizens. Almost the same ammount of deaths as the total deaths world wide in the second world war. And as for sheer cruelty the medical experiments camp in Japanese controlled China in that vile Unit 731 exceeds anything the Nazi's did to the Jews or the Slavs, the Gypsies and the homosexuals. It is down to Jewish wealth and access to movie making , magazines, books and documentaries like this that a skewed image of world inhumanity tends to lean toward the Jewish holacaust.

This episode is making me physically sick. The inhumanity shown these people is just staggering. My heart is heavy thinking of what those people went through. The pain, the hunger, the horror, the degradation. Yet in all that there is dignity of the soul. One story I want to relate is that of Mary and Morris Weinrib. They are the mother and father of Rush frontman and bassist, Geddy Lee. They were both in Auschwitz together before Morris was moved to Bergen Belson. Mary explained to Rush drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart, what it was like in the camps. She explained, "We always wondered if anyone else was alive outside the fences." She told of how her mother was determined to keep her family alive. That was Mary, her sister, and the mother. Sadly, Mary's brother and father didn't survive. Mary and what was left of her family were liberated when the American's came in. Morris was also liberated and promptly traveled back to Auschwitz to see if he could find Mary. When he got back, he did find her. They were married in the camp. Both made their way after their release to Canada where they settled down in Toronto where Geddy, his brother Alan, and sister Cythia were born. Neil Peart wrote a song for Rush's "Grace Under Pressure" album called "Red Sector A." Here are the lyrics and I'll link the actual song. "Red Sector A" All that we can do is just survive All that we can do to help ourselves is stay alive All that we can do is just survive All that we can do to help ourselves is stay alive Ragged lines of ragged grey Skeletons, they shuffle away Shouting guards and smoking guns Will cut down the unlucky ones I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed A wound that will not heal, a heart that cannot feel Hoping that the horror will recede Hoping that tomorrow, we'll all be freed Sickness to insanity Prayer to profanity Days and weeks and months go by Don't feel the hunger, too weak to cry I hear the sound of gunfire at the prison gate Are the liberators here, do I hope or do I fear? For my father and my brother, it's too late But I must help my mother stand up straight Are we the last ones left alive? Are we the only human beings to survive? Are we the last ones left alive? Are we the only human beings to survive? I hear the sound of gunfire at the prison gate Are the liberators here, do I hope or do I fear? For my father and my brother, it's too late But I must help my mother stand up straight Are we the last ones left alive? Are we the only human beings to survive? Are we the last ones left alive? Are we the only human beings to survive? Besides, the Atlantic Slave Trade ended long before the Holocaust happened. Slavery in the USA ended long before the Holocaust happened. Nobody who was a victim of the Atlantic Slave Trade or their children or their children's children are alive. Hell, Islamic/Arab slavery lasted far longer (and even still goes on today). Don't forget that many black people were sold as slaves to white people BY OTHER BLACK PEOPLE.

Because u always act like victims even when u didn't experience it, but have u seen jews act like u people?? Jews actually still thrive in society because they dont play they are victims, but they excel and are still one of the most successful and smartest people..Your ppl Always say u are victims when ur own people are number 1 racist to Asians in the US. Move on , you didn't even go through what ur ancestors did, some of u victim minded people stay and will forever stay in ghettos because u always think someone is discriminating u, there are crooked people and goes the same with ur people.defend yout people when u start changing how u cry out and complain that u are always mistreated.when u got gangs selling drugs, women living promiscuous getting pregnant with different men then ask help from ur government then cry u are mistreated. when majority of ur people go Rob businesses, sell drugs to children, kill each other because u feel like it..reflect on how ur people really are before u compare yourself to the holocaust victims which in majority are the jews (Israelis). Because u can see that both u people are different, u love to be playing victims but holocaust survivors fight back not by forming gangs or acting out in the streets and creating shoot outs , the jewish people were almost wiped out but the remaining generation don't act like most of u, they are successful people and one of the smartest and educated people of the world. The majority of black Americans are in jail, are in gangs, so how do u explain all this and why people think of u differently? The other one thrives in society because they refuse to act as victims, while some of u want to play u went through what your ancestors went through that is why majority of ur people are not excelling because u teach ur children to think they are treated the least of all races..one thing I can tell u Africans that didn't grow up in the US are proud of who they are, u got to change your mentality. It gets tiring because u ain't the only people who went through discrimination. Move on!

The title suggest responsibility of Polish people, while it was the Germans responsible for these deaths. Moat of whom were actually Polish citizens. And remember this: Poland was the ONLY country occupied by Germany where there was an immediate death sentence for the ENTIRE family harboring Jews. It’s possible it’s censored for holocaust studies in secondary school. I can see how any child from any background could experience trauma seeing these. But teachers can download videos and cut these images out for kids, so I’d tend to agree. I’m a huge advocate for protecting children from trauma. So that just comes to mind. That being said, I also think they’re trying to be sensitive to potential survivors and their descendants. I don’t know exactly how I feel about it, personally. Images are powerful, but descriptions are weapons. Sometimes the words are enough. Idk hard to say. This is a lot of words for “I’m on the fence” heh

But then I think of those beautiful children who weren't given the choice but sent to be gassed - such a horrific death. We owe it to all those who suffered at the hands of the nazis: Jewish, gentile, Communist, homosexual, handicapped, intellectual - every single victim and survivor- to keep the truth of what happened alive. So, I'm on the fence too; just let's protect the young from all shocking news until they are old enough to cope. Childhood depression is so prevalent nowadays.

This excellent production has some important imperfections: 1. Jan Karski is presented as having "escaped from the Warsaw Ghetto". True, but the statement fails to explain that Karski was NOT Jewish. He was a member of the Polish Resistance who voluntarily entered the Ghetto to see what actually was happening. THEN, Karski escaped and as part of the Polish Underground used the organizations network to travel to Britain with the news of the Holocaust. He was also the one who informed Roosevelt. 2. Witold Pilecki was another member of the Polish Resistance who acted like Karski but did so in Auschwitz. He also organized a resistance within Auschwitz before he escaped and informed the Polish Underground which then informed Britain. 3. The Polish Resistance had a formal government organization to help the Jews in Poland. "Zegota" should have been included in the episode.

Once Jews were convicted of their crimes as they were guilty of being enemies of the reich, they were immediately deported to either sobibor, treblinka, belzec, or if they were guilty of less serious crimes they were whirled away to arbeit macht feel or Auschwitz.

3:40 map shows Finland as part of the occupied territory, but that was not the case. We had allied (bc we basically had to, we had just ended the Winter War with Russia and now got pinned between 2 great forces) with Germany, so they sold us grain and goods and we let them go through our territory to move towards Russia and northern Norway. We only aided Germany with war efforts against Russia after Russia bombed our capital, Helsinki and then we entered the Continuation War.

Hindsight is always 20/20. The Pope HAD to appear neutral as he was protecting the 2000 years of Church treasures, documents and history. If you've ever been to Rome, you can see how small the Vatican is. Also, the Church organized/gave sanctuary an to thousands Jews in Italy and throughout Europe. Many priests and nuns were also killed in concentration camps.

Well said sir ! It is a well known fact that Jews profitted from war. Take for example the two Warburg brothers. One of them financed the Entendre powers, whilst the other financed the Central powers.Either way. Despite the millions killed and the extended millions injured and made homeless, they none the less greedily gathered their blood proffits with little to no feeling for the victims on both sides.

Living by the Spirit 16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.…

Saint. Max Kolbe died at Auschwitz, having taken the place of a Polish officer when 10 men randomly were picked to die and he stood in for one. He was said to have kept his nine compatriots going by reciting the psalms with them. He was the last to die, put down with a lethal injection.
