Genotype, pretty fair to sum this one up as a very solid game with some interesting dice drafting and manipulation mechanics. If I did a silver medal for games, it definitely would have gotten one. But one of those games that while i'm not immediately putting it in my top 100, I have very little negative to say about it.

This was a huge surprise hit for me this year. The way you manipulate the odds of rolling certain results instead of manipulating the post-roll dice is really cool. The solo mode is also really well done, albeit a bit harder to run than some comprable automas.

I love love love this game. When my friend brought it to our game night...I really thought it would be rather dull. But MAN...this game works together so wonderfully. I think there is some flexibility if you want to do something and it gets rejected...so it's not all or nothing IMO. I really love the dice thing especially. I've noticed that's been my main game crush these days is dice manipulation. :) Great review and I hope you all are doing great!

I always enjoy your recommendations for games with similar mechanics or themes at the end. Not just for hearing about the games listed, but also because they're games I feel only someone who's a walking game-encyclopedia would know of and could recommend over, say, the current "hotness" in the genre. Hahahaha, side effect of being in the hobby for over 30 years i reckon. I always talk to my game groups about games when im introducing them by saying "its a little like Game X and Game Y"

Nice review as always. Again, not my theme, despite i really liked Periodic: a game of elements. Both my mom and sister studied Chemistry so that game was one of our favorites

Wanted this game as soon as I heard about it. When I first played, it felt a little intimidating; should I understand the science behind it more but ultimately, it is a worker placement & dice drafting/manipulation game, wrapped within beautiful artwork and interesting theme. In my top 5 games.

Maybe my next game to get into the “heavier” side. I never played work replacement games. I do wish it had some sort of combat or “vs” aspect. Decisions… decisions… great review btw!

Very few worker placement games with that aspect, Argent: the consortium is one, but thats a pretty beasty game

Really? I've done a few Genius games in the past and i do like science themes. I think i've played 5 or 6 of their games now
