Based on this video I learned that it has different types of poetic genres it includes; 1. Narrative poetry- a type of poetry that tells stories and tales through verse known as narrative it similar to a novel and has a plot, character and a setting, it depicts a series of events using a number of poetic methods. In narrative poetry it usually have a narrator wherein he/she is a person who reads and relates to the entire story. 2. Epic poetry- it highlight the intricate details, features and journey of its character from a remote past. 3. Dramatic poetry- a kind of poetry that usually tells a story to it's reader and has a narrator. 4. Stirical poetry- this genre is usually defined as a work of literature used to highlight human vices and follies, stupidity to ridicule. In other words this genre makes fun of someone vice and etc...but this kind of poem is written to inspire or warn the readers. 5. Lyric poetry- a kind of poetry that is short and doesn't needs to tell a detailed story or journey. 6. Elegy poetry- a kind of genre that resonate with death or loss. 7. Traditionally an elegy is a versed in couplets. 7. Verse - There are two types of verse poems one is free- verse poems and the other one is the blank verse poems. 8. Fable - It is another one of the common poetry genres. A poetic story written in verse or prose with a moral or didactic at the end is known as a fable. The story tells through dramatic monologue and narrator. EPIC POETRY‐ Poetic genres that highlights from a remote past that includes the character journey, details, extra ordinary LYRICAL POETRY‐ This genre use rhymes, literal devices and meter to give that song like touch that convey strong emotions, feeling intense to reader. ELEGY POETRY ‐ A genre that resonates with death or loss that comprises themes of grief sadness, loss,reflection, etc. This genre follows no set of rules and from of style. VERSE ‐ There are two types or verse the free verse poems and blank verse poems.free verse poetry is free of rules and regulations.

WHAT ARE DIFFERENT POETRIC GENRES? •In the video presented there are (6) types of poetric genres these are: (1) NARRATIVE POETRY - one of the most common poetry genres. This is a type of poetry that tells stories and tales through verses also known as narrative. It is similar to a novel or short story and has a plot, character and setting. (2) EPIC POETRY - a lengthy narrative poem what is known as an epic. It highlights intricate details, features and journey of its characters from the past. These long poems typically detail extraordinary feat and adventures of the character. (3)DRAMATIC POETRY - poetry that tells a story to its readers and usually has a narrator. A dramatic monologue is one of the most popular kind of dramatic poetry. (3) SATIRICAL POETRY - is a poem that makes fun of someones vice, absurdities, foolishness, injustice, abuses, short comings, or moral failing. The satirical poem is a mockery for the readers to either laugh at or to learn something from. (4) LYRIC POETRY - is short and highly musical in tone. A lyric poem is capable of conveying strong, intense emotions, and feelings to the readers. A lyric poem is actually like a personal expression of emotions and feelings by a single speaker. (5) ELEGY POETRY - is a genre of poetry that resonates with death or loss. Usually it comprises themes of grief, sadness, loss, redemption, compassion, and reflection.
