It's unfortunate that people are quick to dismiss Brianna Knickerbocker with the recent Lantern Rite with the rap. This song shows that she can rap, it's just the attempt of localizing the song from Chinese to English was the main challenge. And when I listen to the rap in the Lantern (in English), I could tell that the actors tried their best trying to perform with the writings that they're given. The English VA casts deserve better than to be treated poorly just because they voice characters.

This has been what's scaring me away from dub voice acting, and makes the already hostile industry that much harder to deal with. You're not only fighting with the studios and competing with other voice talents, but when you do get a good role, the fans just hate it anyway because it's not exactly like the JP.

From what I remember this is still kinda a direct translation from tje chinese version of it but maybe with a few tweaks to actually make it work. Shows she can rap decently. Hoyo should have made the lyrics for Lantern Rite work. They did Hutao's VA dirty by giving her something that wont flow well.
