so, I watched this video and I can see a genshin stan when I see it, all of my friends played this game and alot of us are above union level 30 and we have all had a blast with it. Its very hard to not compare this game to genshin because it fixed so many issues that we were all accepting as a normal thing (within genshin) that now that we don't have to deal with it anymore (things like running out of stamina and falling to death, things like flying into a cutscene just to find out that you died because you dropped from midair) this game feels super refreshing I also played this game for the combat, not the story. At this point I could care less if the story is super bad because thats all we have had for a while (minus HSR), so playing for combat is super cool, this is what people have been wanting for a long time, IMO. I hate it when I am doing parts of a story and these games go off on a tangent with so much dialogue that even SPAMMING through it will take hours just to get past it (having a skip button in this game is SUPER NICE). I also like the fact that responses for this game as far as bugs go get fixed right away. I experienced my own bug (which I later found out was widespread among players) while fighting the tactical hologram: mourning Aix where the game would target an enemy WAY off camera when it (Mourning Aix) would fly up off screen. That was fixed very quickly. The devs can fix this game and make it super good, there might be a reason as of to why the story is doing what its doing, if anyone has seen one piece then they KNOW that it started out not so great too, but now its one of the most loved anime out there. Give this game time, let the devs do what they do and do not spread false hate. I do not want to be tagged or responded to here because I know there WILL be people who disagree with me, but thats 100% ok, everyone is entitled to their opinions, however, look at things from both angles when comparing games to each other, not a one of them is truly perfect and without some sort of bug SOMEWHERE. Alright, thats all I have to say and thanks for reading this if you did, its just my personal take, but I think this game has promise for the things I listed

But those can be done in one weekend or two, depending on how busy you are. Off season events ones are definitely just a one weekend thing as long as you let the game release all the levels. Just finished the main quest, and the story gets much better after you fight scar for the first time, kuro also announced that they are hiring new VAs and new writers to improve the story and the delivery, they are also giving a free 5 star selector ticket (not banner) as compensation for everything. @@quanlinglingdingle6122 No, another very important "good" thing about Genshin is lore, character design and setting. Genshin is THE anime isekai/fantasy game. That is insanely appealing to the anime fanbase and many gamers in general. Imo Wuwa suffers a bit from its lack of unique designs and the weird black/white color palette they use. It's certainly an art direction, but it feels like they were going for something similar to NieR and couldn't really nail it. Before Genshin even came out my friends already gushed over Mona, Jean, Barbara etc, that were displayed on the website. I like Wuwa combat, but it doesn't really feel like it wants me to stay, similar to ToF. It's a bit weird because PGR and Girls Frontline nail this more "mature" look really well. We also have to consider that the majority of Asian players doesn't really want challenging Dark Souls like combat, they play these games for 10 minutes on their phones on the way to work. The majority doesn't seem to care about combat at all and only ~10% of players even touch Abyss. Most of the players are in it for characters and exploration fun, and Genshin is still pretty good in that - all the nations have unique designs and cultures that have distinct personalities and clear vibes. Imo Azur Promilia could be a bigger "threat". Made by the Azur Lane devs, looks really promising with its bright art direction and isekai fantasy style, gameplay seems to have some unique features for the genre as well.

13:19 funniest thing about the chatter mentioning the 619k peak and asking him to compare it to Genshin's launch, is that peak was like a random day in 2022. August 22, 2 days before 3.0, out of nowhere. If you actually compare the launch days, Genshin has like 210k, WuWa has 146k. Considering how big Twitch and Gaming exploded during the pandemic, its not that surprising that Genshin outperformed. Although, not by much considering those same factors. Also important to note the Minimum viewers on the launch day, Genshin had 36k, while WuWa has 56k. A good sign of a more active base viewership. Genshin had a large spike from larger streamers (who aren't in the gacha space) deciding to stream it, but more of those viewers didn't return to the category to watch other streamers. The chatter is just dumb af, the fact they didnt even check the launch day peak and just assumed that the 619k was launch day is a good sign they are are not doing even basic fact checking. That and also them criticizing WuWa on having bad story in comparison to Genshin's launch. 1.0 story in Monstadt is mid af. I like venti, but the bulk of it is very simple. Once you get to the combat parts of the story its even worse. The part where you are flying in the air and shooting Dvalin is just boring, and then the final fight against him is janky (even today, over 3 years later) I do agree that overall WuWa's first parts of its launch story is bad from a lore and story side of things (while Genshin's was okay), but the gameplay and combat in the story quests is great (while Genshin's was bad). Regardless of whether you play the game, you should be wanting it to be successful, competition is making miHoYo have to actually make the game better when it comes to gameplay and especially resin. Them increasing resin cap to 200 now of all times is no coincidence. They could and should have increased it before Fontaine and/or Sumeru but chose not to. One of the biggest reasons being that if you just played every 24 hours you would lose out on resin, since it only takes like ~21.33 hours to get the 160, you would lose out on ~20 resin. They want you to have as little resin as possible, but not so little you complain so much that it becomes the only thing the community talks about. Anyways, this whole rant has gone completely off track, time to sleep. If anyone actually read or replies to this, I would be quite surprised. Edit:grammar

Good points well said. But in my opinion, GENSHINs combat isn't bad, it's good, but wuwas is great. It's good combat ( GI ) vs GREAT combat ( wuwa). the world building, lore, story is stupidly great in Gi, but the problem is the stupid direction.( The barely expressions, stupid dialogue stances, like how they stand and talk like robots, AND NO SKIP BUTTON!!. Am a lore guy but I can understand people don't want read and just play, just give a skip button it's easy. I think the dialogue themselves are fine. As for wuwa, just have to wait for lore/world building to expand ( it's only day3 now lol ) to judge. Do some people think that because the story is bad in 1.0 it means that it will be bad forever? Kuro has managed to save their story before. PGR was pretty boring at first, then the first patch came with the narwhal story and it was amazing. After that from chapter 9 and onwards the games story got so much better patch after patch. With the amount of feedback given and Kuro being good at listening I have no doubt in my mind that they will create a compelling story eventually.

Imo, the story does actively get better the further along you get through it. The final boss fight was pretty fun and I'm hyped to see the next section of it while I'm practicing the amazing combat in-between.

I’ve been playing whthering waves for all of yesterday and today and honestly even though there was a few minor issues. It’s been an absolute blast I’ve been enjoying wuthering waves more than Genshin in the 3 years I played it.

True. I set lower graphics for the time being and after stabilisation in framerate it was equally fun playing WuWa as it was trying out Metal Gear Rising (one of my favourite games)

The exploration and combat just feels so good. Having a grapple hook, double jump and (the best of all) being able to run up walls is just amazing. And the combat is pretty addicting every character feels just good to play along with the Echos mid combo. Pretty damn fun.

@@kiuhh1118 If you read it, they're fixing multiple issues as well as making the things the community complained about for a better experience. The rewards are just a bonus. Go check it out, not only is the response hella fast but they genuinely respect the community feedback. Sure, game has some mid problems but I can already tell it'll get better.

Also one more thing to point out. When the players complains about the bugs, the dev instantly fix some of the problems just today. What I will say is that the combat feels incredible in wuwa, but it doesn’t have the same magic touch as genshin. The first time playing genshin will forever be nostalgic: fighting the dragon in the air, getting our gliding manual from amber, and trying to survive dragonspine’s frost. The characters were so alive! The environment, especially mondstadt, felt so homey and welcoming too. And it doesn’t help wuwa that it’s incredibly laggy in the open world. I’ve already long quit genshin, but I will always hold it near and dear to my heart.

I normally skip stories as well. When I skipped, I felt that I am missing something, so I actually did read the dialogues when it came to the characters I cared about. Honestly I still love Genshin but Wuwa really did have everything I wanted in Genshin, I loved that zippyzip thing and running up walls were really fun and best, I could play on phone for Wuwa

I have a macro for genshin called "Hoyoskip" in my keyboard, where I place a mouse on place they place options on and it spam left click while watching youtube, the only time I never skip are the one where zhongli and xiao is there because they are the only character worth listening to, and on launch for WW, I did not wanna go to twitch because I don't wanna get spoiled

Been playing Genshin for 2 years AR60 w/ 1K plus Achievements Multiple Meta Teams, Characters 95-100% All Regions on 2 Accounts as an F2P I think I can safely say I know how Genshin works. It's boring AF, people who sticks to it for the story are basically kids or adults with an IQ of a kid. They get hyped up for a damn Animated short that HoYo promised 2 years ago. It's a damn short, not a full episode and they get fired up. They are beyond salvation.

I played that garbage also and only could witstand Li ue and mondshtat, after that i literally felt ill and disgusted from how bad of game genshin was... THEY EVEN LIMITED FISHING AND THROW BAITS IN DIFFERENT REGIONS AAAAA. after that i learn that inadzuma had power spike in difficulty and shit story, so i went to sumeru and instantly quit game after i seen how unreasonably large hills in that area... Also combat was so bad that i resined to use Archers with charge attack only. Now i have genshin ptsd from how bad it was.... Mean while wutering waters felt like hybrid of honkai star rail pgr and honkai impact wich are my favorite games and story is kinda interesting also

I love Genshin, and even I can admit Wuthering Waves is better in a lot of ways. They immediately fixed most of the problems. Gave a FREE 5 star that you can pick yourself. Something fans have been wanting Genshin to do for YEARS. I feel like Spiderman with those grappling hook it's great. 😂
