Scaramouche was never a failed prototype. People keep mixing it up with the old failed clone theory from before his backstory was revealed. Scaramouche was indeed a success. He was created to be able to store Ei's gnosis and he could. The problem was Ei's gnosis contained all her memories, as in all her grief from watching multiple loved ones die throughout lifetimes. Which even Ei couldn't bare, which is why she wanted to hide away and create a still eternity. Giving new life the pain of multiple lifetimes, anybody would cry from having to deal with it. Instead of giving Scaramouche time to adjust, as it wasn't his losses and he would get over it, Ei decided to just create a puppet that didn't need a gnosis and give it to Yae instead. Ei had also created Scaramouche a little too well. She made him like a real son, sentient life: thoughts, feelings, personality. Ei never intended to create sentient life. She couldn't even rule her own nation, let alone raise her child. So Ei sealed his power, erased his memory, and abandoned him. When Ei created the Raiden Shogun, she limited its thoughts and emotions to only follow specific parameters. Anything falling outside of what it could handle, would be sent directly to Ei to deal with. Which is why the traveler is repeatedly sent into Ei's dimension. The Shogun is merely a shell on autopilot ruling in Ei's stead. Obviously Ei couldn't allow it to be sentient, as the Shogun would have different opinions and ideals than Ei would want. Overall, Scaramouche functions perfectly. He is an immortal with an indestructible body, electro archon energy, able to use the gnosis, and doesn't require human things such as: food, sleep, oxygen. Hell, if you actually look into his lore...growing up on his own he had his own allies and losses of those he cared for before the fatui found him/restored his memories. Scaramouche even has better morals than both Ei and Yae. Ei and Yae repeatedly state that they care nothing for human life. Yet Scaramouche will never harm a child or an elder. Just as so far in the series, we have only ever seen Scaramouche do reconnaissance missions for the fatui and then leave them. Just as people keep stupidly thinking he is a failure, they also keep thinking Scara was responsible for Teppei's death. That was Signora...she made the delusion factory and was distributing them. Scaramouche even said so himself. He was literally just a higher up coming to check in on how Signora's work was progressing. lol All Scara has done is mock the traveler and threaten to kill them. But Childe and Ei actually tried to kill the traveler. Ei did so twice even! So please actually research a character before you spread false rumors. Scaramouche was never a failed experiment. He was a successful prototype...too successful with actually being sentient.

@@riatanina I know that, but rather than failed experiments maybe "abandoned" experiments could do. I mean the failed Albedo is technically abandoned [it's supposed to be destroyed or eaten anyway it counts.] And Scaramouche was technically thrown away or rather "sealed" away. And failed Albedo is just another type of 'sealed' away. *He's just y'know sealed away in a dragons belly that's all* And i study Albedo's lore more than Scaramouches so i may get things wrong but thanks? For correcting me or informing me of his lore

@@Rux2 Just please watch your wording next time. Tons of people who don't know anything about Scaramouche keep blabbing that he is "pure evil" and a "failed prototype". So if you know better, than don't say failed. Yes, they were both abandoned. There was nothing wrong with Scaramouche...Ei is an abusive parent. Abandonment/neglect is abuse, and I hope she apologizes/repents to her son one day.

@@riatanina I will *try* as i can't really keep promises that i can perfectly or accurately get my wording with such things right [Just glad that you're not exactly toxic or is screaming that I'm wrong.] And i agree with the whole Scaramouche being all pure evil and stuff, i mean it did say that he met some dude? Or two in the artifact set and we don't know *exactly* how he acted like so *technically* he isn't like born pure evil. And yes i do wish they had like some sort of reunion scene but i doubt it, Ei would probably not know whatever is wrong if Scaramouche never speaks up or if he doesn't phrase it clearly, Plus she probably won't even come out of her dimension to *speak* to him. [If she's still conflicted about the eternity and stuff + we're moving to sumeru soon so we'll probably drop the Inazuman stuff bit by bit since Scaramouche isn't the main character.] *The more you look into it, the more you forget who's really the main character/s*

Okay. I know it's not that relevant, but seeing this reminds me that I'd be alright with a Scaramouche redemption. I'm okay with him changing sides when he becomes playable. I just have some wishes for it. 1. Scaramouches redemption should actually be painful, long and need time. He was neglected and left without a purpose. Come on now. This can't be fixed with a handshake or kind act of traveler. 2. Now, I already said Traveler shouldn't be the main reason for Scaramouche to get better. Please let Ei take responsibility. PLEASE. She should at least be involved. 3. I want Scaramouche to STILL be outright rude and bullying. Just. Sometimes Toxic. It would show that he can't change from an INSTANT. Does this make sense? lol
