There actually was no “misunderstanding” The shogun Saw him as nothing just a useless puppet unable to handle the power of the gnosis so she discarded him 🫤

@@motoya.komori He was created by the storage of gnosis. But she took pity on him and put him to sleep for a while, giving him freedom and a sign that he was connected with the shogunate, so that he would not need anything. She had bigger problems. This is really a misunderstanding

She created a prototype puppet to see if her idea would work and when it did she was happy but didn't want scara as the main puppet (bc obviously it doesn't look like her). She felt horrible and didn't want to destory him because it'll be too cruel for him, so instead she "set him free" and sealed away his powers. While she thought she was "Setting him free" scaramouche thought that she was abandoning him because he was not strong enough to hold the gnosis. This is a misunderstanding & there's clear full proof evidence that this ALWAYS has been a misunderstanding by yae mikos voicelines to ei saying that she "didn't want control him" & that she felt like she "owed him something". Now obviously, Ei does not think of scaramouche as her son I highly doubt she ever did because if so she would've referred to the shogunate puppet as her "daughter". If ei thought of scara as her son she most likely would've kept him somewhere instead of throwing him into the wild like a stray cat, It's not completely ei's fault for the scara turned out. but I feel like she should've kept him and taught him some things before letting him out into the world without any knowledge. I see plenty of people blaming scaramouche and calling him selfish for getting mad at the child (who was in his backstory cutscene) that died, people don't understand that scaramouche has no understanding of the real world around him he is just a puppet that was created as a project tohold the gnosis. He was never taught human emotions or how the human society even worked, so he thought the child had betrayed him.
