This gives me the same feeling of when I first discovered that you can climb up the mountain of Emerald Peak teapot and view the land from way above, but even cooler because mhy didn't even intend for these sections of the domains to be explored. It astonishes me that there is collision at all for the "beanstalks". I hope they add some awesome new domain designs for Sumeru! Great video!
@CrimsonAkato2 жыл бұрын
iv very late to this comment since I recently found this channel but unity has options to automatically apply collision that roughly resembles the shape of the model . they probably just added collision to just one of the huge vines nearby but when the duplicated it resized it and threw it in the background it kept the same collisions , so yeh I don't think the devs actually meant to have them there but there was no reason to remove them either it would just have been to much work to do so so they left it in ,

Once again, passionate developers doing way more work than they need to. I wonder if they ever screw around out there for the fun of it.

There are a few areas out of bounds with hints that they tested or planned something at those locations, such as the water plain far below Watatsumi Island, or the three perfectly round snow circles beneath the water northwest of Guyun Stone Forest. Would be neat if they left little cryptic messages or the like out in these areas.

i feel like it would be really fun if they added some "bonuses" like few chests or challenges scattered around these huge, kinda empty spaces for people who take their time to appreciate and explore these textures :D might be just a silly idea, but it would make adventures even more exciting !!
@tally_hal3 жыл бұрын
there's this game called sky and the devs actually put random things in the out of bounds areas making it much more fun to explore. like a small rocky structure under the map that looks like a cow and sometimes even candles for players to get wax used for currency in the game. i wish mihoyo would do the same lol
@natalkamm3 жыл бұрын
@@tally_hal yeah like that sounds so fun to play !!! i might try this game thanks haha. like im not asking for anything big, just some small things that would make exploration more exciting as the idea of "u never know what u might find" is really enjoyable
@LunatheMoonDragon2 жыл бұрын
While it does sound fun, it wouldn’t really be fair from a game making perspective. Chests usually contain primogems, a currency that is analogous to real life money. Hiding secret primogems away in a place where only a small handful of players would ever get to (and encourage breaking their game to do so) just wouldn’t be fair. Even if the chest contained no primos, it’d be unfair, I think, it definitely would be cool though!

I once spent about 3 hours exploring this domain during the one event. It’s hilarious how you can get lost in there the higher you climb up. Then again, this is also the case in the dragon spine domain. :D

You're welcome! And thank you, too, for the support. It's fun to be able to share these explorations while, at times, also talking about silly nonsense. But I truly do hope we will get more maps to explore like Golden Apple Archipelago. I feel domains could be a great way to do this, with the added twist of having to complete objectives, reach certain points; and if your team is wiped out...back to the beginning!

They could, and they absolutely should! Exploration's like the best thing in the game, and we need more places to go adventuring. I'd personally be fine with them throwing together a large, unique domain map like this, and only hiding like ten or fifteen chests. Just give us lots of obstacles and tricky enemy situations to deal with besides the typical "locked in a room, defeat everything to proceed."

I feel the same way about the domains in this game. I remember when I first started this game and constantly falling out of bounds or getting trapped in places because of how much I tried to explore. Knowing the developers were inspired by Breath of the Wild, I assumed more of the design philosophy would carry over and you'd be rewarded for creative use of your tools. Unfortunately, in Genshin in general creativity seems to be heavily discouraged. Most of the things people call "puzzles" barely qualify, or are usually just tasks more than anything-a series of steps you take for every such encounter, the only think blocking you from completion being taking the time to do the thing, not figuring out a solution.
@Moosashi2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they could do with upping the difficulty in places. I generally answer "Too Easy" on their surveys. Mona's domain in the Golden Apple Archipelago seems to be a good first step towards better puzzles. Her island afterwards as well. I was happy to see such a variety of puzzles.

Good luck getting up there! I got very close to the absolute highest point in the domain, but wasn't able to climb that last bit. Unfortunately, I don't think the first domain shown in the video is playable outside of Xiangling's story quest. They re-used it for the first Energy Amplifier event, and to my knowledge it has not shown up since.

@Moosashi3 жыл бұрын
I believe I have seen the video you are referring to. There's also a video from version 1.0 of someone using the photo mode bug to get near Celestia. In earlier versions (I think up to 1.6?) you could see where the texture was placed by looking up in Storm Terror's Lair. It would disappear after you walked north of the central tower, about 3/4 of the way to the Paimon Barrier, and reappear when you walked back.
