Genshin Impact | Top 20 Strongest Mondstadt characters (Lore)

*1.- DURIN:* Although not a exactly a Mondstadt character, Durin is essential to the history and lore of Mond, being a creature that could “Rival the Archons” he was the biggest threat Mondstadt has ever faced, he fought there, died in there and is still affecting Mond until today, and thus I decided to include him in this top. During the event, The Chalk Prince and the Dragon in 1.2 Albedo said that “Durin was the black dragon who menaced Mondstadt, before finally being defeated by the combined efforts of Dvalin and the Anemo Archon Barbatos.” And that “After a fierce battle, the vanquished Durin crashed to ruin here, falling into the thick snow.” So it took the combined efforts a Barbatos with a Gnosis and Dvalin to defeat Durin in a high diff battle, I don’t think further explanation is needed. *2.- BARBATOS:* During the rebellion against Decarabian he gained power with the faith gained by the Gunhildr clan, followed by the people of Old Mondstadt, managed to defeat Decarabian and become the first Anemo Archon among “The Seven”, gaining a Gnosis in the process, and getting significantly more powerful, enough to slice mountains with a gush of wind and terraform the land right after gaining his powers. He was the carry against Decarabian and got even stronger after. *3.- DVALIN:* All seems to imply that against Durin, Dvalin was “blessed” by Barbatos and doing the heavy lifting, eventually beating him while getting poisoned, however, Jean and Diluc implied that he could have been taken down by them, Venti and the Traveler if necessary, you could argue the reason why is that he is poisoned, but it’s never mentioned that his power decreases or that he is getting weaker, to support this, it’s also implied that the Lionfang Knight and the Knight of Boreas of that time would have been valuable assets to the fall of Durin, it talks about them as individuals, just as with Jean and Diluc, so it’s not out of the question that mortals can have a chance at beating a Dragon like Dvalin. Dvalin also lacks other feats while not being poisoned or blessed by Barbatos so this is as up as he goes. *4.- DECARABIAN:* He was defeated by a weaker Barbatos and the people of Old Mondstadt, as apparently “the song of freedom that shattered the city in an instant”. *5.- ANDRIUS:* Even if he could cover the land with sub-zero blizzards and ice storms he still “failed to even scratch the capital of the Lord of the Tower”. *6.- DILUC:* This is Diluc with his Evil Eye Delusion, seeing that as with his vision he was powerless against Ursa the Drake at age 18, his father Crepus used this delusion and went from being someone who couldn’t even enter the Knights of Favonius to defeating Ursa, this delusion is obviously a massive boost in power, Diluc at present time is stronger and more experienced than he was before and used the Delusion his father used, without instant side effects, he should logically be above Ursa at this point with his Delusion. And no, he didn’t kill some of the Harbingers(where do people get that from???), he just survived them, and the only reason he did it was because he had help from a third party. Diluc himself also states that “The fact that the fatui can run amok across the seven nations like they do is ENTIRELY because of the Eleven Harbingers”, this quote would make 0 sense if he could go around defeating Harbingers on his own. *7.- URSA:* A monster that has been roaming Mondstadt for a thousand years, and in all those years no one was able to slay it, not even people like Vennessa could stand up to it without help, he also seems to be able to control or command Hilichurls at will, there really is nothing to prove that he above the people below him for sure, but seeing his long history terrorizing Mond and no one being able to do something against it for a thousand years straight I’m inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. *TIED 8 EULA/JEAN:* About Eula: “Grand Master Varka had nothing but the highest praise for her, even declaring once that she was the Dandelion Knight's equal on the battlefield.” “On the face of it, to have two such outstanding knights attending to the defense of Mondstadt in a single generation should be a cause for nothing but celebration. “On one hand, she is a descendant of the disgraced Lawrence Clan, the scion of a corrupt aristocracy. On the other, she is one of the *TOP TWO SWORD FIGHTERS IN MONDSTADT.* " This quotes speak for themselves, but just in case, let me clarify, Jean and Eula are the top 2 sword fighters in Mondstadt, which means that any other sword user in the region, be it sword or claymore, are inferior to Jean and Eula by default, this is emphasized with them being implied to be the most outstanding knights of their generation, other characters having what could possibly be more impressive feats(such as Diluc) or statements(like Lisa or Albedo) don’t invalidate the statements mentioned above. But just to mention some, Jean became Lionfang Knight at age 15, a feat at least equally or arguably more impressive than becoming captain at age 14. In the manga, she also attacked one of Dottore’s creations so fast that Amber claimed that she “ *moved so fast she couldn't see a thing* ”, Amber herself having good feats in the manga and Jean could blitz her, she also defeated 5 ruin guards and was more worried about them being fragile ancient relics and that she needs to find a way to bring them down more carefully. On the other hand Eula passed the clan’s trials that few people among them have passed in a *thousand years* , she did it at a *young age* , and *did it with ease* . In another instance she tried entering an Abyss Order camp with a device made by Sucrose, but the device caused a “huge explosion” on her, and went against 13 Mitachurls, she got out unscathed and was more worried about teaching Sucrose a lesson. *9.- KAEYA:* He held his own visionless against a furious Diluc, although they were in a heavy rain, which would arguably help Kaeya out, still a great feat, but this is as far as he goes when taking into consideration Diluc with his Delusion or Jean/Eula statements. *10.- LISA:* She could maybe go above Kaeya or maybe not, she has the classification and prowess to be captain after all, so that’s a nice baseline, it’s just that she lacks feats, the best thing she got is being Sumeru Academia’s “best student in two hundred years” which although extremely impressive, doesn’t necessarily transfer to combat prowess that makes her surpass the people above her at all, she is not by any means “Raiden but bare handed” like some people say, so this is as far as she can go for now.

*11.- ALBEDO:* Probably the most wanked character in the list, and that’s because he has this one statement about getting out of control and being able to “destroy Mondstadt”, most people see this and ignore every other instance where Albedo’s capabilities were shown, for example, in the event “Shadows Amidst Snowstorms” is shown that the flower that perfectly copied him FLED from Eula, later when the flower swapped places with the original Albedo, *IT TRIED TO SNEAK ATTACK EULA FIRST* but the Traveler saved her and when she attacked the flower it *INSTANTLY* decided to use its Cryo attacks(something Albedo can’t do as far as we know) against her, it’s almost as Eula being the top sword fighter(Albedo being one) in Mondstadt is consistent huh. So in conclusion Albedo being able “Destroy Mondstadt” is due to: Him being an Alchemist, which could mean he could just create a chain reaction that could potentially destroy Mondstadt in the long term. Create an army of creations so he could go to war against Mond. Just a big plan to do something similar to what Alice did to the Archipelago, but offensively. Using Durin’s remains to create an abomination or to poison the water or food supply. As you can probably note, I’m making big stretches with most of this, nothing confirmed at all, what it is confirmed is that Albedo in *DIRECT COMBAT* isn’t as strong as most people think, he is clearly a planner, combined with his high intellect, he could be lethal to Mond yes, but don’t go around saying that he can stomp Gods, that’s headcanon and goes against what we have seen of him, he is literally the most featured character in limited events and he fights in like half of them. Him being related to *DURIN* doesn’t make him as strong as him, he is a miraculous creation just as him but that doesn’t make relative in strength at all, is the fact that Rhinedottir created both of them, one being indistinguishable from humans, a perfect creation, the other being a Dragon with poisonous blood that could rival Archons in power, it’s a silly to use this as evidence of Albedo being this strong when we already know what he is capable of and when he can’t even wield a sword that has Durin’s corrupted power in it. I’ll gladly put him in number one the day he snaps his fingers and nukes Mondstadt, until then, this is as far as he goes. *12.- KLEE:* “She can blow up mountains” No, no she can’t, not instantly at the very very least, as she needed to place multiple charges in it, and the operation was directed by Jean, meaning it probably was in a specific point to maximize efficiency, this is further supported when it’s mentioned that Klee needs to “identify Starsnatch Cliff's load-bearing points, then place explosive charges accordingly to bring the whole thing down...” meaning she can’t just blow it up in one go, she has to plan it out, this is a *CLIFF,* , let alone a *MOUNTAIN,* Klee herself survived her best bomb at the time, a bomb that was "even bigger than super big!", and it only blew up her workshop, good feat, but it’s not even close to mountain level. Even Bennet survives them on the regular, Razor can fix the disaster she causes on the daily, etc. Reason she is this high is because of her firepower, yes, nothing that can blow up a mountain, but it’s still noted as dangerous, she isn’t higher because she is likely getting blitzed by anyone that is close to Jean’s level of speed, Albedo can react to Eula, so he likely also just outspeeds her. She nuked the Primo Geovishap, which sounds really impressive, but Noelle, a girl with extremely abnormal strength can defeat Ruin Guards and Lawachurls(Albeit struggling with the Ruin Guard) but she still loses against people physically weaker than her in the knight selection entrance, so significantly superior raw power can be trumped by superior skill. Maybe I am overestimating her, because there is no real evidence as far as I’m aware that she can’t just be outskilled or outsped, but seeing as she can nuke a Primo Geovishap I can give her the benefit of the doubt for now. The ranking here is more iffy by nature, as there isn’t an exceptional amount of statements or showings to say for sure, if you disagree it’s not the end of the world. *13.- ROSARIA:* Lived as a bandit for a major part of her life, there she learned how to fight, kill, steal, survive, etc. She always hunts down Mondstadt’s enemies in the night, even without formal training she “possesses exceptional strength and knows the weaknesses of the human body like the back of her hand - and has no reservations about using this knowledge to kill”, this combined with the fact that most of the time, adult characters are portrayed as stronger overall than the more younger ones, makes me put her at least in this place, she could maybe go above Klee, but she lacks feats against bigger threats. *14.- AMBER:* She can clear out Hilichurls camps on her own, Baron Bunny can stun someone like Kaeya enough for her to take Collei and run away from the scene, but most importantly she held her own against Barnabas, who is likely using Archon residue, the same thing that powers delusions, to use his abilities, she can create barriers that can tank his attacks and after Diluc helps her out, she dealt the final blow to him, just like Rosaria could go above Klee, Amber could go also above Rosaria, but if the situation was CQC, I am inclined to believe Rosaria would have the edge, given her knowledge of the human body and her experience on assassinations. *15.- MONA:* She can apparently sense “power levels” like she did when they encountered Scaramouche, but it is likely that she might just knows if someone is weaker or stronger than her with a glance as she said she was Scaramouche’s rival, and that he was slightly superior to her, which is obviously untrue, but the Traveler seems to be more impressed on her than they were of Fischl and even Paimon said that if she wasn’t there, two Fatui skirmishers would have cause them “A lot more trouble”, questionable, but a feat is a feat nonetheless. *16.- FISCHL:* She helped us out in the Unreconciled Stars Event and is even a respected adventurer, enough to be called an instructor to guide people in Dragonspine, she seems to keep up with the traveler in combat without much issue and is arguably overall more impressive those below her. *17.- BENNET:* Basically the same as Fishcl, with the catch that he has bad luck everywhere he goes, could be detrimental to his opponent but to him too, Fishcl was chosen to be instructor before him, arguably because of his bad luck, but it’s the only thing to compare them, he could be equal or even above Fischl given the circumstances, but because of the existence of Oz, I reckon Fischl has the advantage. *18.- NOELLE:* As I mentioned with Klee, she can beat giant monsters, albeit with difficult, but she would still lose to a skilled opponent every time she takes the knights’ exam, unlike someone like Fischl or Bennet, she almost died from freezing in Dragonspine while carrying someone, a single person should be nothing to her superhuman strength and even then she was in bed for almost 3 days, as well as if there is anything that she can’t handle Jean trusts Kaeya to resolve it, Jean thinks that she really isn’t ready to be a knight, which makes sense considering the things mentioned. *19.- RAZOR:* Even if he is training currently, as we discussed earlier with Noelle, he still should lack the skill to take on all the other people on the list except one, and unlike Noelle, he is never mentioned to have superhuman abilities. *20.- DIONA:* She goes at the bottom by virtue of being a toddler with nothing special at hand like Klee, but she is mentioned to not require a teacher for “Infiltration, archery, climbing, and dodging” so she goes above people like Sucrose or Barbara.

Amazing list and I think Klee should be higher since she whooped a geovishap and literally didn't even get hurt Also she blew up a whole chunk of stormbearer mountains I think eula scales above Jean because she tied up against varka in a sparring match

We don't have enough context for Klee's feat, the geovishap is normally sleeping when you encounter it, it's totally possible that she actually just dropped some bombs to it while it was napping. Jean and Eula are stated to be equal according to Varka himself.

This is actually one of the closest (taking current albedo here not berserk) Only thing I'd switch is 16-noelle, 17-benny, 18-fischl
