**i do not speak on behalf of the meaning behind the song, this is just what i felt from the song** I really like the first line already, all doctors in the world only wish for there to be no diseases, reflects the sadness they feel when seeing their patients in pain and the hopelessness when they fail to help them

"Why do we feel concern for the entire world" They feel conflicted as people's lives still slip through their fingers even they have done their best to help them (which really hits), lacking confidence in their ability to heal the entire world so it's like "why do i even bother" "why can't i just let the flowers bloom and wither" (i'd like to think this is referring to the patients) but also feeling guilty to think this way "The fog will scatter eventually" i also like to think the fog refers to sadness, and waiting for it to eventually disappear is how they cope with this

However, at the same time, as a doctor, it is their duty to save people who are suffering from sickness "A person's life is worth more than a thousand gold", it is what they should do So these lines hits so differently when you think deeply about it which i really dig "Cuckoos cawing, as if someone's crying" This makes me think that the cuckoos crying sounds like someone mourning over a loved one's death, which really hurts, since their lives still slipped pass even though the doctors did their best also "couldn't cross the icy river yesterday" it feels like as if the doctor failed to save a patient yesterday, which resulted in failing to "cross the icy river" and "cuckoos crying" over their loved ones "Half a lifetime's snow...." as a doctor, life and death is something they witness everyday, however they can never get used to the deaths, how can they? So it tires them not only physically but also emotionally That's it!
