Oh good 😄! You'll have to let me know which one you end up deciding to try out. Just start slow, that's the biggest thing. Some people are able to get away with using an exfoliant less often than others. For a lot of people 1, maybe 2 times per week is enough.

I decided to go with the BOJ green plum refreshing toner ( new version ) I think it'll be a good starting point for my skin.

I have sensitive skin with some light rosacea and i like the foaming Beauty of Joseon Refreshing Plum Exfoliant Toner, it doesn't sting or burn, just a slight tingle. I bought a few backups because i really like it in a foam form , i guess i am the only one :D I was able to use in the past the Drunk Elephant T.L.C exfoliant but i stopped because of the price, and i also used the Overnight Exfoliating Treatment from Good Molecules (i found these two very similar in feel and results)

I started using CeraVe’s hydrating toner because it has glycerin, ceramides, and Niacinamide as an AM toner and 2nd “cleanser” in my evening routine. I think it has helped my skin especially with targeted milia, skin tag, and bumpy skin.

Hi Sarah I've used quite a few of these over the last few years and you know how reactive my skin is (extremely dry, rosacea, eczema and menopausal). The PC calm 1% I use as a serum (the older packaging), as it's a gel like consistency and it's been a favourite for a while. I like the G&G calm down, the by Wishtrend 5% mandelic and the IL PHA toner, but none have been repurchases for me. The Cosrx ABC toner was a warm weather staple and with daily use really did keep my pores/texture clear and under control last Summer - multiple layers of spf meant more exfoliation was needed and this was enough to boost my routine that already contained 15% azelaic acid and a gentle retinoid, without causing irritation etc. I do like the dear, Klairs well enough, but it wasn't as hydrating as the Cosrx. The others I haven't tried. Patch testing for me is a fairly lengthy process and I really advise those with hypersensitive skin do more than one patch. I start with my arm and then move to a small patch on my chest, then behind my ear, then on my neck and finally to the centre panel of my face - going from the least reactive skin to the most reactive (the centre of my face is where my rosacea is the worst and it's more sensitive than my neck or the rest of my face). For me this is worth the time/effort in minimising reactions/irritation. Best wishes.

@Jenni Hi Jenny truthfully it depends on how my skin is and the time of year. In the colder months when my skin is so so dry and fragile, once or twice a week is enough and never in the same routine as a retinoid or azelaic acid. In the Summer I tend to need a little more to offset the extra spf and sweat etc. My normal routine is to use azelaic acid and a retinoid on alternating nights, so I use a mild exfoliator in the morning (however many days a week my skin needs). I also use an alpha arbutin and niacinamide in the morning, but that would be alternating with the exfoliant. I only use one active per routine, so as not to make my skin mad lol. For you it will depend on what your skin tolerates - start slow and see how you get on. I hope that helps. x

@Jenni At present I am using the Paula’s choice calm 1% a couple of times a week in the morning. I use the BofJ glow deep serum the other days right now. After that I use a calming serum before moving onto moisturiser etc. x

I enjoyed the Peach Slices acme moisturizer. I use tret at night so I was using that in the day to address my acne too. I am intrigued by the Geek and Gorgeous BHA. Currently I’m using a BHA face wash a couple times a week to get my BHA fix. But I am too lazy to keep the face wash on for 3 minutes so I want to go to a gentle leave on product next a couple times per week.

Thank You so much for the Great Recommendations Sarah! Def have been wanting to try the Peach Slices Acne Moisturizer out. Heard a lot of great things. My skin type is Oily/Acne Prone so I’m sure I’ll fall in love with it! The acne cleanser from that line is incredible.
@NOBSBeauty Жыл бұрын
Peach Slices has done such a great job with their brand and product. Each new product seems to be well thought out and very purposeful. Very affordable as well! You'll have to let me know how you end up liking it! 🤞

If you're oily and acne prone you might really like their salicylic acid toner! I like it better than Paula's choice actually. I'm also oily and acne prone. I found I was able to use it twice a day, morning and night with no sensitivity issues and it helped keep congestion down and helped tame breakouts. I definitely recommend the BHA toner from peach slices for our skin type. If you're a little more sensitive skinned you can probably get away with just using at night.

Oops! I bought the Klairs, put it in a spray bottle thinking it was just a watery toner! 😂😂😂. I was wondering why it stung my eyes a little!! Going to get the Stratia one. I really love their Liquid Gold and Rewind serum. I just started the Velvet Cleansing Milk and it's wonderful for a second step or morning cleanser.

I’m using the cosrx aha/ bha spray one (not the one mentioned here) and sometimes an aha cleanser from Dr Lewinns Reversaderm line, which I leave on for a few minutes. It is summer here so I am using less frequently. I’m thinking the wishtrend mandelic next.

I have very dry, extremely sensitive skin. I use the one from The Inkey List, but my skin can handle it just once a week. I find that the azelaic acid I use twice a week gently exfoliates, too. I bought the Aveeno but haven’t tried it yet.

Same skin type - i've used The Ordinary Mandelic Acid and Lactic Acid 5% without issue, but you may be more sensitive than i am. Paula's Choice BHA was too strong for my skin - definitely not for everyone!

What do you think of the cetaphil gentle clear?
@NOBSBeauty Жыл бұрын
I wrestled with including something from that line on this list. Their Gentle clear line isn't bad, in fact it is pretty gentle. My only issue with them is the amount of slip ingredients they've added and not using many soothing or anti redness ingredients. It is pretty affordable so if it works for you that's just fine.

It's odd the camera on your right has a really low frame rate for your hands but not your face. On a different note I hope people with sensitive skin find something they love from these products. My face has handled anything I've thrown at it for the most part. Even the ordinary's 30% AHA 2% BHA peel only tingles every once in a while. Lucky me!
