I think he's the most single greatest multi-instrument musician I've ever seen...and he's one of the greatest progressive rock keyboard players ever. It's Emerson and Wakeman...then all the others including Minnear.

Ray Shulman Most underrated bassist of all time. If Gentle Giant broke into mainstream he would be a top 20 bassist of all time
@sirqitous5 жыл бұрын
Agreed. He not only was truly great on the bass (pretty adept at guitar and violin too), but he was most likely the principal author of most of their original material and of their musical approach. He and Kerry Minnear remain truly giants of prog rock, IMHO
@banishedfromthedwarfplanet5305 жыл бұрын
Eric Golub-- It's true that the majority of the music recorded by Gentle Giant was composed by Ray Shulman and Kerry Minnear. The others contributed also, but the majority was written by Ray and Kerry.

Sensational concert in front of living corpses:) Kerry 's incredible vibraphone solo reminded me how he improvised, not only on vibraphone, NOT following any blues or jazz cliché. It's like Stravinski or Hindemith improvising. Mind blowing.

Me gusta jugar dota 2.
