Gentle Giant unfortunately are under appreciated despite arguably being the best instrumentalists in prog They are masters of counterpoint Listening to a whole album of that style could be tedius but for those who appreciate that style and lole to follow the melody streams it is heaven on Earth

My favorite show was Asbury Park at the Paramount in '78 - like 10 people were in attendance (horrible thunderstorm plus they were NOT well known in the US) - it was like a personal concert - Absolutely Amazing. They do have a weird wired prog sound but their musicianship was incredible - both with instruments and their voices. So glad you even gave them a thought - Thanks to your subscriber who asked for it.

Gentle Giant are definitely unique. At the "first contact" you can flicker your ears a bit ... but it's worth sticking to it. I think a good introductory song is "In A Glass House" from the album of the same name.

You need to react to some Yes and Jethro Tull. I'd suggest "Roundabout" by Yes and "Aqualung" by Jethro Tull. Both in the progressive rock genre. I think you're gonna dig it.

While I do like this album Inter*view, they had more albums prior to this one. After this album their music got much more conventional, hardly sounding like the same band. This band is well worth exploring, though.
