This client hit her toenail which caused the nail to bruise and it will probably fall off. Yes, I would recommend cutting it our by a podiatrist but it's up to the client if they want to go that route. Clients come to me for a pedicure, to make their feet look good and when I don't see any contraindications (like an infection, open wounds or pain) I do what I can to make their feet look presentable :) I used: Healthy Air Source Capture System bit.ly/3uWfSMo Gehwol Lotion (spray) to sanitise the feet Black nitrile gloves 6mil amzn.to/3wvd59H FERYES Toenail Clippers (LOVE THEM!!) amzn.to/3HqKmqC Diamond Hand file (medium) TBA Erica's Zebra Sanding band (medium) bit.ly/45QpYfP 10% off code: THESALONLIFE Erica's Small Tapered Barrel (medium) bit.ly/2PgnIRg 10% off code: THESALONLIFE Erica's Cone bit bit.ly/3t8VTWK 10% off code: THESALONLIFE Erica's Ball bit bit.ly/3RiA00g 10% off code: THESALONLIFE Staleks Pedicure tool bit.ly/3SgdI2K Tweezerman Stainless Steel nippers amzn.to/3hlEkXs Melody Susie SR1 (Scamander) bit.ly/2XV7i×4 💅 Our online store with manicure tools bit.ly/3SgdI2K

I love your videos but this was frustrating to watch with no narration. What is your advice for raised bed nails without signs of fungal infection? Thank you
@nanzilla30002 ай бұрын
I just think you are such a sweetheart. I think this woman was very courageous and did such a smart thing by having someone really take care of the skin on and around her nails. You are an absolute magician. I think everyone deserves to have their feet taken care of and healthy. I wish I had known these techniques when I was doing my sweet grandma’s toes in the nursing home many years ago. When we lose flexibility and mobility we lose access to our feet for care and everyone needs help. The service you provide is priceless. ❤️ Also thanks for teaching me how to take care of my own hands and feet! I was doing okay but now they’re looking snazzy!

I started following your advice to soak nails in warm jojoba oil, as my nails were showing all the signs you described: they were hard, fragile, split easily... Soaking them in oil did a miracle! I see such a huge improvement, also educating about the anatomy of the nail (what really IS a cuticle) made me look at my nails differently. I love seeing realistic nails and toe nails, that's what majority has, not the instagram filtered "beauty". Following your advises really makes a huge difference and also is very educational. I can only repeat that it would be great to have You in my city :) So basically, in every city :) Thank you for your videos!

Hi Anna! I’m using my boyfriend’s channel to comment. I just wanted to let you know that I just received my nail kit yesterday. The skin salve is in perfect condition, no melting and I started using it yesterday. I am not even lying, the skin around my nails are looking so good and healthy I don’t know what magic you put in this tiny tin!! If you started selling your nail/skin salve I would religiously buy it, it’s that good!! Thank you so much for all that you do❤ -Ysabelle from California

I have had both big toe nails removed due to them being ingrown. Since then I've managed to hit both of them multiple times, the nails & nail beds have been damaged so much that they don't look like they're supposed to. Usually pretty depressed about how they look as well as my other smaller toes, so I've been neglecting them. It takes a lot of courage to go in for a pedicure when you're self conscious about how your feet or toes look. ❤

I am truly fascinated by your work. Every single time :)) You are so gentle and pay so much attention to details, i love it! Considering that, in general, the skin around the toenails and the cuticles are more stubborn (compared to the nails), what can we use instead of an e-file to get very similar results? I feel like i don't have too much space to move back and forth the classical file or the buffer, and using a pusher (even a glass one or one from Staleks) won't do the job just as good. And because they're not as effective, I tend to overdue it, a few weeks ago i cut myself with the Staleks pusher. Perfectionism is both a blessing and a curse, i swear! Other that that, i want to thank you so much for everything you do, my fingernails are so much better! I try to follow your advice, "Progress, not perfection), i'm not insisting as much with the pusher, i now wash the cuticle remover with water, soap and a soft toothbrush after 2 minutes, i am doing weekly (or almost weekly) hot oil soaks and keep my nailpolish on my nails for 2-4 days (instead of 5-7 days), followed by a few days with no polish (mainly because of not having enough time to redo them the second day, but considering that my nails now look and feel pretty good, it doesn't bother me at all) and try to use jojoba oil after washing my hands (sometimes i remember, sometimes i forget...). So, yeah, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Hugs and best wishes from Romania!

Hi Anna I saw you working. I would like to recommend you one tool that works really well with that kind cuticle. That type of cuticle is very difficult. The tool is metal or ceramic cone usually nail technician use it to remove gel. But with red notch it will not damage the cuticle and nails. Thank you Anna for your video. I learned a lot from you ❤❤❤

Was that athlete’s foot making her left big toe yellow and the skin around her nails so dry? I’m a beginner in nail school, so I am trying to learn to identify feet conditions. I understand the bruise and lifting on her right big toe. Thank you for showing pedicure work!
@TheSalonLife2 ай бұрын
No, that is not athlete’s foot. Athletes foot is a skin infection and it makes the skin red, itchy, scaly. Usually it’s between the toes but it can spread. It looks different. This is a very typical condition of feet of pedicure clients.

Anna I have the same issue right now with my big toenail. Injured and have cut it all the way about half of the width. It’s SO ugly. I wonder if there is anything you can recommend to help the new nail come in faster? I keep a bandaid on it now because it’s summer and my feet are in sandals. I wonder though if it need air instead? I would be so grateful for a suggestion ❤

Great job ! Do you always use 100% acetone remover ? Do u find that it’s too drying for natural nails , or it really doesn’t matter ?
@TheSalonLife2 ай бұрын
Doesn't matter. I apply a cream after so it's not drying. It would be drying if you kept using it and not applied moisturiser. Or you can add some water to your acetone. When I'm doing a dry pedicure I want to see everything well, water and oil can hide details.

@TheSalonLife2 ай бұрын
Hello, onycholysis is not a disease (although it can be caused by a disease) but rather a condition. Treatment depends on the cause. More info here: Nail Separation | Causes | Early Treatment of Onycholysis [Anna's Nail Advice] kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGqXpqKLipxmmNk

What is happening to her nails on her last (pinky) toes? Is it something that can be corrected?
@TheSalonLife2 ай бұрын
Nothing, the pinkies tend to grow that way sometimes. Sometimes it could be pressure from the shoes and the nails being squished.

I remember when I was 6 I got my hand slammed in a door and it caught my thumb in it. It bruise my nail badly and eventually fell off! I remember thinking it was kinda cool running around showing everyone my missing thumbnail! I was a weird child!😅 PS: Yes it grew back completely healthy and normal.

I go to a salon for one thing only, and that’s to have my toenails clipped. I have arthritis in my spine which makes it painful to bend to clip them myself. I would love to be able to have a full pedicure, but my feet are so sensitive that I can’t stand to have them touched. Have you ever encountered a client with such sensitive feet?
